Chapter 54

Author: Only For You
Harvey shifted uncomfortably, his expression darkening. If Douglas died from his gift, he would be directly responsible. He had not even gotten his hands on Christina yet, and here he was, possibly killing her grandfather.

Quickly pulling out his phone, Harvey made a call. "Dr. Aicker, this is Harvey Weller. We have an emergency. Please come immediately!"

Christina turned desperately to Andrew and pleaded, "Andrew, you're a doctor. Please help Grandpa! He was fine just a moment ago!"

"I warned everyone that the pill was fake and dangerous," Andrew replied coldly. "The entire Stevens family, including you, accused me of being petty. Now that there's trouble, you conveniently remember that I'm a doctor?"

Christina's face flushed with shame, but her pride would not let her admit her mistake. "We can discuss that later! Please just help Grandpa first!"

Andrew stepped forward, quickly pressing several pressure points to stop the bleeding. With some therapeutic massage, Douglas's b

Just then, an elderly man in a long robe, with a prominent nose and a long face, stepped into the Stevens family home. He barked impatiently, "Don't waste my time! Where's the patient? I have other matters to attend to!" Irene rushed to greet him with a fawning smile, saying, "You must be the renowned Dr. Cedric Aicker from Jayrodale! Please, Dr. Aicker, have a seat and enjoy some tea before we begin!" She intended to flatter him, but Cedric merely shot her dismissively as if looking at a complete fool. "Are you dumb? This is a matter of life and death. Instead of rushing to save someone, you're offering tea? Do you want the patient to die?" Irene's face flushed red with embarrassment as she shrank back meekly. Christina and the others quickly led Cedric to examine Douglas. After examining the patient from his seat by the bed, Cedric's brows furrowed in concentration. "Strange, very strange indeed…" he muttered to himself. "Dr. Aicker, what's strange?" Harvey asked. "Is

Irene thought Cedric might have some insight and eagerly asked, "Dr. Aicker, you can tell that the pill Dad took was a genuine medicinal pill, right?" She continued, "I knew it couldn't be fake since Harvey got them directly from Mistveil Peak. It's perfectly normal for Dad to faint. His body was just too weak for such powerful medicine!" Irene's analysis was met with a cold laugh from Cedric. He mocked, "You foolish woman, your ignorance knows no bounds. What he had was nothing more than a common supplement pill, yet you dare call it a medicinal pill? You're all too ignorant—I won't even waste my energy explaining!" Irene trembled from the repeated humiliation. If there had been a hole in the ground, she would have gladly crawled into it. Leroy stammered, "H-Harvey, looks like you were scammed. Even Dr. Aicker says the pill was fake!" Harvey silently cursed Irene for bringing this up. Even so, he maintained a composed front and said, "Well, Leroy's right. It seems someone wa

The Stevens family stared wide-eyed at Andrew when he said Cedric was not qualified to be his teacher. They could not believe what they had just heard. "Andrew, do you even understand what you're saying? Aren't you overestimating yourself?" "You idiot, you're throwing away a golden opportunity! You really are hopeless!" Irene and the others first hurled insults, then broke into gleeful smiles. They thought this fool deserved to remain a nobody if he could not recognize such an opportunity. Christina scolded, "Andrew, you'd better rephrase that. Dr. Aicker is a distinguished figure, and you should be honored he'd consider taking you as his apprentice!" Harvey chuckled. "Andrew must be so overwhelmed he can't think straight. After all, this kind of opportunity probably comes once in a lifetime for someone like him!" Stroking his beard, Cedric nodded with a smile. "I understand you're excited. I'll give you another chance—kneel and accept me as your master!" Andrew remained

Harvey smirked. "Andrew, I understand how you feel. You're upset because I plan to propose to Christie with that King of Diamonds. But you should know that in Jayrodale, I always get what I want. He added condescendingly, "Even if you're unhappy, there's nothing you can do about it. Why not hand it over nicely? I might even let you make a few hundred thousand on the deal and give you a chance to earn some real money!" Andrew found himself laughing at this. "I originally thought the King of Diamonds wasn't doing much good just sitting in my possession. I wouldn't have minded letting either of you have it. But now I've changed my mind. I can assure you that this diamond is completely off-limits to you." While he did not want to waste energy on such ignorant fools, he was no pushover. Since they were acting all high and mighty, Andrew figured it was time to put them in their place. Harvey's smile turned cold. "You're surprisingly confident! You clearly don't unde

Francesca fumed in embarrassment. "Andrew, you're such a jerk!" Andrew gave her a knowing smirk. "Am I wrong? Are you saying you don't want a man?" Francesca's face turned crimson as she snapped, "All men are disgusting! I hate them! How could you even suggest that?" Andrew just chuckled and gave her a sly look, making her face burn hotter. Francesca sneered. "Even if I want to find a man, I'd never go for a gold digger like you!" Andrew replied casually, "Good to know you're not interested because I wouldn't want you either." Francesca hissed, "Don't be so cocky! I'll make sure Lauren sees your true colors and kicks you to the curb!" Suddenly, an unmarked van came roaring toward them. Francesca barely avoided being hit, shouting, "Watch where you're driving, you idiots!" The van screeched to a halt, and several masked thugs jumped out, wielding baseball bats and knives. Francesca's voice trembled as she stammered, "W-What do you think you're doing? This is the Moonli

Andrew was surprised and asked, "You know me?" The thug gulped anxiously. "Yes, of course! Mr. Lloyd, I'm so sorry! This is all a misunderstanding!" Then, he yanked off his mask, revealing a face covered in scars. Andrew thought momentarily before asking, "Weren't you with Bobby that day at the Oakridge Club?" "Yes, sir! When you beat Bobby half to death that day, I-I wet myself!" The man was terrified, realizing Michael had unknowingly sent them after someone so formidable. Andrew smiled. "So, you're here for revenge?" The man shook his head frantically. "No, no, absolutely not! If we had known it was you, Mr. Lloyd, we wouldn't have dared to come near you!" The other thugs finally caught on, scrambling to apologize. "This is a huge misunderstanding!" "Please, have a smoke, Mr. Lloyd. We were blind not to recognize you!" "Mr. Lloyd, if you ever have time, come visit us in South City sometime. Mr. Garner would love to host you!" The thugs cursed at their luck. A

There was a moment of silence on the phone. Then, Dylan's furious voice exploded in Michael's ear. "Refund? Go to hell! Michael, you son of a bitch, you almost got me killed!" Dylan roared. "I'm lucky I didn't make the biggest mistake of my life! If I had gone down, I'd make sure I drag you with me, damn it!" The line went dead after his outburst. Michael's face turned dark as he muttered angrily, "Dylan, you may rule South City, but the Rhodes family isn't afraid of you. How dare you insult me and keep my money? You'll have to answer for this!" Not understanding Dylan's sudden rage but furious about both the failed job and the lost money, Michael immediately tried calling back to demand an explanation. However, he discovered he had been blocked. Michael stared at his phone in disbelief before hurling it against the wall with a roar. Between the 15 million dollars that Andrew had cost him and the three million dollars he had just lost to Dylan, he could have spent years livin

Andrew replied flatly, "What's so strange about me being here? If Ms. Stevens can be here, why can't I?" Christina frowned. "Andrew, I'm just warning you that this place is expensive, and you need a member's recommendation to get in." Lauren walked over and linked her arm to Andrew's. "Let's go inside. By the way, I've already arranged a lifetime membership for you. Enjoy yourself however you like!" Christina turned away without saying another word, thinking Andrew was still as pathetic as always—a hopeless case who would never amount to anything. Harvey smirked. "Before returning from abroad, I heard rumors that Lauren had lowered herself to keep a worthless boy toy. I thought it was just gossip, but now…" He shook his head in mock disappointment, implying that having Andrew around diminished Lauren's status. The young man next to Harvey sneered. "Lauren, our circle has so many worthy young men. Why keep such a useless parasite? I really don't understand your thinking."

Andrew shook his head slowly and said, "No, you're not like some middle-aged lunatic, and you're definitely not trash or a hooker. You look like a cute little bunny rabbit, just begging to be eaten up. You forced my hand, Aspen!" As soon as he finished speaking, Aspen's eyes widened in sudden panic, realizing what was about to happen. She struggled fiercely, desperate to escape Andrew's grasp. Her voice trembled with tears as she pleaded, "No, no, no! Andrew—Mr. Lloyd—I'm sorry, I admit it, I was wrong! I swear, I won't do it again, please don't do this—please, no!" Her frantic protests ended abruptly with a soft, electric whimper as Andrew silenced her, pressing his mouth firmly onto hers. What followed was a hungry, unstoppable kiss, intense and overwhelming. Aspen's clear eyes widened, her expression first filled with shame and anger, then disbelief, and finally melting into a dazed, dreamy blankness. Their rapid breathing mingled in the confined space of the Ferrari, th

Andrew let out a cold laugh as he stared at the trembling Aspen right in front of him. "What am I doing? What do you think I'm doing? When you were trying to suppress Christina and Davon earlier, you used my presence to scare them off. Don't tell me you forgot that?" Aspen flushed, both embarrassed and angry. "I didn't forget! But what I said—was any of it wrong?" Andrew snorted. "No, it wasn't wrong. But you did get one thing messed up: your grudge with Christina has nothing to do with me, so don't drag me into it just to make yourself look good. You used your own boss as a pawn. That takes some guts, Aspen." Aspen instantly felt a chill. She shrank back and begged, "I-I-I… I won't do it again, okay? Andrew, just let me down first. My butt's right up against the window, and if someone walks by and sees this, how the hell am I supposed to live that down?" The corner of Andrew's lips curved into a teasing grin. "Isn't that perfect? You're my little secretary. This? This is very

Someone joked loudly, "But we get it… I mean, with a secretary like that, why would you even look at anyone else?" The others burst into raucous laughter, not bothering to hide it even in front of Aspen's increasingly dark expression. "Exactly!" another chimed in. "Mr. Lloyd is living the dream. Damn, I look at my office girl and suddenly feel dead inside!" "Mr. Lloyd's not just talented—he's got the best of both worlds. That little secretary of his is a top-tier beauty!" A bespectacled executive chuckled crudely and added, "Mr. Lloyd, let me give you a piece of advice: when there's work, let the secretary handle it; when there's no work, handle the secretary! That line fits you perfectly!" The entire room erupted in laughter as Aspen's face flushed deep red, her cheeks burning. Furious, she shot Andrew a murderous glare, then stormed out of the room in her heels without a word. Andrew, looking utterly unbothered, leisurely followed behind. He even muttered to himself, "Han

"You two went from loving each other to trying to kill each other. Pretty entertaining," Andrew said with a glance at Aspen, smiling faintly. Aspen's face stayed cold. She snapped, "She deserved it, and besides, isn't everything that happened because of you?" Andrew replied calmly, "Had nothing to do with me. I never touched your Bridgefields' Stevens family." Aspen secretly gritted her teeth. Sure, he had not moved against the Stevens family directly. But her? She had been forced to sell herself into slavery, body and soul. Was that not tragic enough? Moreover, who knew when she might completely fall into his hands, devoured, with nothing left? Davon, wiping cold sweat from his forehead, squeezed out a smile. "Mr. Lloyd, Ms. Aspen, I've already taken care of that issue. Should we get down to proper business now?" Andrew nodded. "Okay, let's talk business." Immediately, the business partners who had been waiting nearby all jumped to their feet, smiling brightly and ea

"And since Mr. Lloyd needs a new target to let off some steam, maybe you should volunteer, Davon," Aspen said sweetly. The moment those words landed, Davon jumped up in pure panic, wailing, "Ms. Aspen, no, no, please! Don't say another word. I'll do exactly what you say—everything, exactly as you want!" After groveling, Davon's plump face darkened in shame. He spun around toward Christina, pointed straight at the door, and roared, "Christina, you worthless tramp, get out! Right now! You heard Ms. Aspen. Get the hell out of Phoenixdream Enterprises!" Christina's eyes widened. She could not believe that Davon was this spineless, that easy to terrify. She hissed, "Davon, you'd better think twice about what you're doing! If you throw me out, do you really think Mr. Wright will let you off afterward?" She barked a bitter laugh, furious to the core, and deep inside, her hatred for Aspen grew even sharper. Being thrown out in front of everyone, this humiliation would haunt her in Bl

Davon blinked in confusion and asked, "Ms. Aspen, who exactly are you calling bitch'?" Aspen smirked coldly and pointed straight at Christina. The latter's face darkened as she stood up stiffly. "Aspen, you're going too far!" Christina snapped. "If I had known Supreme Capital Group was the major client here, do you really think I'd have bothered showing up?" Her tone was sharp, but there was a flicker of unease in her eyes. Aspen remained utterly indifferent. "Since you don't care, then do us all a favor and leave. Christina, I told you once that I would make sure your entire family would struggle in Blumedale. And when I say something, I mean it." Christina's face turned from merely unpleasant to downright ugly. She turned sharply to Davon and demanded, "You're the one who invited us here. Now what's your decision?" It was a clever move, throwing the ball back into Davon's court. After all, they were on Phoenixdream Enterprises' turf—surely Aspen and Andrew could not compl

Aspen knew that Ronan charged a reasonable medical fee, and his medical skills were also quite good. Andrew started the car and sped off while answering casually, "I met Mr. Bates by chance. Showed him a few tricks, and he was so impressed by my skills that he practically worships me now. He even offered to introduce me to his granddaughter." Aspen let out a sharp laugh. "Just met by chance, and he's ready to hand over his granddaughter? Come on, if you're going to brag, at least make it believable!" Andrew just smiled, not bothering to argue with her. He and Ronan had bonded over their shared passion for medicine—it was nothing unusual. In truth, after witnessing Andrew's medical skills firsthand, Ronan nearly dropped to his knees, begging to become his disciple, though Andrew firmly refused. And yes, Ronan did have a granddaughter who was currently attending college. Ronan had hinted that if Andrew did not already have a girlfriend, he should consider his granddaughter.

After breakfast, Andrew, the ever-hands-off boss, got strong-armed by Aspen into actually going to work. Otherwise, Supreme Capital Group, a company sitting on billions in investments, would end up being nothing more than a shiny nameplate. Aspen's exact words were, "If you keep ignoring everything and leave me to worry about it alone, I'd rather go sell myself on the street than keep slaving away for you! At least if I'm selling, I'll make some money. Meanwhile, I'll probably die broke working for you—or just die!" Andrew winced when he heard that. Realizing that his little maid was seriously holding some grudges, he quickly agreed to tag along to the office. "Give me a minute. I'm gonna change," Aspen said before disappearing into her room. A few minutes later, she strutted out—black stockings, high heels, and a sleek blue business suit that shimmered slightly under the light. She was absolutely stunning, and even Andrew had to admit it. Aspen smirked inwardly. 'Yep, the

Whenever Andrew was alone with Tiana, he could not help but feel a little uneasy. Seeing that Tiana had nothing more to say, he quickly took the chance to excuse himself. However, Tiana hesitated. Then, she smiled slyly and asked, "Hold on, let me ask you—have you and Lauren… done it?" Andrew blinked, confused. "Done what?" Tiana rolled her eyes and snapped, "Don't play dumb, Andrew. You know exactly what I'm asking." Andrew finally caught on and answered honestly, "Lauren and I have done pretty much everything, but we haven't crossed the final line." Tiana nodded approvingly. "Good. You need to remember that you can't go that far until you're married. I made sure to tell her that too, and she understands." Andrew's face darkened a little. "Mrs. Rhodes, seriously? This isn't the Dark Ages anymore. We're in a real relationship, and sometimes things get a little… heated." Tiana shook her head firmly. "It's not about being old-fashioned. There are other reasons, but I can't
