KRISTINA'S POVThe expression on his face changes a little bit and I realize that he's actually surprised by what I just said. Then, suddenly, he turns to leave and exits the room quietly. KRISTINA'S POVSlowly, I crawl backwards on the bed. I don't know why, but a chill creeps down my spine when I suddenly feel it's cold nose running along my neck. My eyes widen in horror. I can hear it sniffing me carefully. I'm starting to panic. My mind is flooded with thoughts and worries, but my heart is beating fast inside my chest. It's pounding against my ribcage uncontrollably. I'm shaking uncontrollably. It's so strange. Why would my heart suddenly start beating so violently? Why does it feel like there's someone holding onto my ribs tightly? Why does it feel like my lungs need more air? Why can't I breathe? Am I having a heart attack or something? KRISTINA'S POV That's what I was trying to avoid the moment I had started to think about this plan. I hadn't realized that I'm already thinking so much about it. KRISTINA'S POVLuckily, he was distracted by someone entering the house, and that was the first time I noticed the switchblade that he'd taken with him. He hadn't realized that I'd seen. I remember how scared I was when he put the knife to my throat, and even more afraid of what he was going to do next. At that moment I was truly convinced that he was going to slit my throat open, cutting out my tongue. When I saw him raise his arm, preparing to strike, all I could do was scream. Linux stopped short when he heard me screaming, and he stared at me for a moment in confusion. Eventually, it seemed to dawn on him what was happening. "Oh s*it!" He exclaimed and dropped the knife, grabbing the sides of my face. His hand covered my mouth and nose, preventing any noises from escaping. I struggled to breathe under his hand. KRISTINA'S POVJust right about when I was living a peaceful life, I heard Alpha Laurence was agitated by how Aliyah flirted with his beta, Carl, even though they were already married for several years. Alpha Laurence eventually evicted Carl from his position as the pack's beta, leading him to head over the Black Fangs Pack together with Aliyah.However, I was frustrated, I flatly rejected all of what Alpha Laurence wanted even if he was nice to me after I returned to his territory. I took a deep breath, forcing the lump in my throat to subside, but I felt like crying. Why does he hate me so much? I thought he respected my intelligence. What else could possibly drive him to ignore me so completely? Was it me? Did I do something wrong? I was lost in thought for a while, until Alpha Laurence spoke to me. I threw myself down onto my bed and buried my head in the pillow. Tears started strolling down my cheeks, which I quickly wiped off. I hated being angry with her. Why did I do it?
