"Mr. Mondragon,” Dr. Olivia muttered and quickly rushed down to his side as Diego remained on his knees.. She crouched beside him and she gently placed a hand on his shoulder. “Mr Mondragon…” He didn’t look at her. His eyes were fixed on the floor, filled with disbelief. His lips trembled but no words came. “I’m so sorry,” she whispered. “I didn’t want to be the one to tell you this… but you needed to know.” Diego stood up quickly with a pale face. “There must be a mistake somewhere. Diego Junior Mondragon is my son... he’s my flesh and blood!” he muttered, his voice shaking. Dr. Olivia stood too “I understand how hard this is. That’s why I made sure. I didn’t trust the first result either. We ran the test five times. The result didn’t change.” Diego’s chest heaved. He looked at her with pain in his eyes. “You expect me to believe this?” “I don’t expect you to believe it easily,” she said softly. “But the results don’t lie.” He turned away, ran his hands through his h
"Oh, gracious Lord… Mr. Mondragon, what happened to you?” Doctor Olivia gasped, her eyes widening as she took in Diego’s bruised and battered face. “You look like you just came back from war.” Diego avoided her gaze, shifting slightly in discomfort. “I had… an accident,” he muttered, brushing a hand through his hair as he looked away. “I’m sorry to hear that,” she said gently, still scanning his injuries. “I’ll ask one of the nurses to clean those up and check you properly.” She paused, then she calmly, “And just so you know Baby DJ’s surgery will begin in a few minutes. We’ll do everything we can.” Diego nodded slightly, hiding his worry. "Just make sure he's okay," he whispered..... About forty minutes later, he sat silently in the waiting area, his eyes fixed on the floor. The door opened and Doctor Olivia walked in, removing her gloves as she approached him. Diego stood up quickly. “How did it go?” he asked as he tried to read his face. “It went well,” she said with
“Sir, Mr. Robert Wood has been shot.” Rafael’s car screeched as he made a sharp U-turn on the road, his heart pounding like a drum in his chest. He held onto the wheel tightly, his knuckles pale. His eyes teared up as the red light glared in front of him. "Fuckkkkkk," Rafael growled, slamming his palm against the wheel in frustration. His chest heaved. “I’m glad I was able to do that for your father, my brother…” Uncle Robert’s words replayed in Rafael’s mind.. Rafael's mind was numb as he stared at the red light. A sharp breath escaped him as the light turned green. He didn't wait.. He hit the gas and the car surged forward. "You better not die on me, old man," he muttered. ..... " He ran down the hospital hallway at full speed, his heart pounding like a drum. Without waiting for permission, Rafael burst through the door.....he already knew which room it was. His eyes immediately found Uncle Robert lying still on the hospital bed. “Uncle Robert,” he
Doctor Olivia gently placed the stethoscope on baby DJ’s chest, her expression growing slightly concerned as she listened. Diego stood silently by the window, his arms crossed as be watched. “Has he been taking the medication I prescribed?” she asked, glancing at the nanny maid. “Yes, Doctor,” the maid replied quickly. “I made sure of it.” Doctor Olivia returned her attention to DJ, who continued crying weakly. She gently rubbed his back then looked up. “Please bring me the small medical kit from my bag,” she told the maid, who quickly left the room leaving just her and Diego behind. Diego stepped forward, lookin tense. “Is something wrong, Doctor Olivia? Why does my son keep crying like this?” “I’m still observing, Mr. Mondragon,” she said carefully. “But we may need to bring him to the hospital for a full check-up, just to be sure.” Diego’s brows furrowed deeply. “Is it something serious?” “I can’t say much right now,” she answered calmly. Then she looked around the
“I saw the press conference,” Rafael said quietly, his voice catching for a second. “You didn’t have to do that, but… you did. You stood up for my father when nobody else dared. You cleared his name.” Uncle Robert moved away, uncomfortable with praise. “It was long overdue.” Rafael walked closer, and for a moment, just stood there. Then he reached out and pulled his uncle into a firm hug. “Thank you,” he said firmly. “For not letting the truth die.” Uncle Robert nodded, patting his back. “Your father deserved that much. And so do you.” Rafael stepped back, his eyes welling up with tears, slowly he lowered his head...... ..................... Women fellowship get together Honestly, I told my daughter-in-law that not every woman gets this kind of luxury,” one of the women said, sipping from her teacup as she adjusted her scarf. Diego was just about to enter his car when his phone rang. He glanced at the screen. It was an unknown number. He picked it up. The voice was the line sounded formal "Mr. Mondragon, good afternoon. This is just a courtesy call.... we’ve received credible information linking your late father to the fatal car accident that killed Mr. Henry Williams Wood thirteen years ago." Diego stood still, "What are you talking about?"he said. "We understand this is sensitive, but a well-known media outlet has contacted us. They’re about to run the story. We wanted to offer you a chance to comment before it goes public." Diego's jaw clenched, "You’re saying my father… caused the accident?" "Not just caused. According to leaked files and a witness statement, it wasn’t an accident at all. It may have been deliberate. I suggest you speak to your legal team immediately."The voice said. "This is nonsense.
