Sofia's heart pounded as she watched one of his men dragging her grandmother out from a nearby room.

“I hate you, you're a monster!” Sofia cried out again.

“You fool!” Adriana said as she rushed towards Sofia and slapped her.

Sofia's head snapped to the side, the sting of the slap left a bright red mark on her cheeks.

Adriana lifted her hand to hit Sofia again.

“Stop!” Alessandro barked, “Stop it! I'm still here. You don't have any right to hit her.”
