CHAPTER 38

SANDINO AND BROOKE

Sandino arrived much later to school than what he usually did. He probably had too many drinks last night. Oh well, he couldn't take it back. Since he was kind of behind schedule, he didn't get a chance to see Kahlan, which is what he really wanted to do. First, he wanted to apologize once more and then follow that, with many thank yous. Kahlan really stuck herself out there for him, for a person that she barely knew. Part of him wondered if there was a reason for that? He had been feeling something for Kahlan, he couldn't explain it. They were small little flutters. Was she feeling them too? He hadn't seen Brooke either. She was most likely overly upset with him. That would be a good thing. It would give her an excuse to avoid him and any feelings he had for her would fade and just maybe, he could analyze the ones he had for Kahlan.
