Chapter 47 : Hanging

Winston relented at last. He came as a brother, but he knew Sera was stubborn. So he didn't expect anything more.

"I just hope you don't fall out over this," Winston said.

"I have no problem. I'll consider it over unless you do it again," Sera said. Her hands rubbed and she played Amos' ear who kneeled nearby.

Winston noticed how obedient Amos was to Sera. But he didn't expect Sera to consider the man anything more than a slave. His place was on the floor like this. The two of them were not supposed to be lovers.

Winston left after that.

Sera watched until her brother left the room. Then she turned to look at Amos.

"Did you bring milk for me?" she asked.

Amos nodded. He pointed to the bottle of milk on the table.

"Do you want me to drink from that bottle?" asked Sera.

Amos blinked looking at Sera in horror. He didn't bring a glass! He was in such a hurry to get away from Gerard that he forgot about it.

Amos gulped. He got up. "I'll bring a glass for you, Miss."
