MIKE’s POV (MATEO’s FAMILY LAWYER)

I was on my way to Doug’s office, he invited me and I tried to look my best and left everything I was doing just to see him.

I have invited him out countless times after our meeting in the office with his brothers the last time.

I sprayed enough perfume on my body and the sides of my neck, hoping he would hug me.

I got in the car and was driving with so much joy in my heart and a grin on my face.

“I can't look too desperate or else he might just keep playing games with me..”

I said to myself with a little grin and I nodded, but deep inside I was as happy as a child with a candy.

It took me more than an hour to get to his office. When I got to the gate I parked, stepped out of the car, and called his phone.

“Are you here, Mikey?”

When he called me, I smiled and placed my hand over my mouth.

“Yes, Doug. I just arrived.”

I said as I stomped my feet on the ground.
