CHAPTER ONE HUNDRED-SEVEN

"Reed explained the situation to me. I do agree it's important to calm everyone down." She peered at me with a firm gaze. "I believe you have been explained to how the process goes."

"Yes," I replied.

"This might be a source of discomfort to you, baring yourself to wolves at a time like this. Don't worry though. The test will take place before the council and some by this time next week."

I nodded in understanding. "I can't wait to get this over with."

"If you don't mind me asking, have you come in contact with any witch since your banishment from Arth?"

"No, none."

"Strange," she mused. "Pardon me but when Arth is this quiet, its people are up to no good."

"I like to think they are just healing from the mess. Besides, they have a serial killer bound. They are probably preoccupied with investigating than planning another attack."

"Let's hope so."
