Serena's POV

It was with a broken spirit that I left Myles's office that day. I was spent, tired, and totally drained of energy. I couldn't believe the things that had happened to me in the last forty-eight hours. I couldn't believe that these things had all happened because of Myles.

I stumbled out of the office and could feel everyone's eyes on me as I made my way to the entrance/exit of the building. I couldn't look up, I didn't want to see their faces, so I kept my head down as I walked.

I don't know what prompted me to do so, but I finally looked up abruptly, and there he was, standing several feet away with his eyes fixed keenly on me.

Damian!

My blood boiled with rage when our eyes met and my hands balled into tight fists. The brat! The fool! The coward!

I noticed I had slowed down and was about to stop, but then I continued on my way and was soon at the door.

The receptionist was talking, saying something, maybe telling me to have a great day or whatever, but I didn't really p

Author's POVThe car carrying Detective Davies and his partner rolled slowly towards the towering iron gates of Myles's mansion as a statement of power. High walls topped with subtle but deadly security measures surrounded the entire property.“You really think he's just going to let us walk in?” his partner, Officer Miller, asked from the driver's seat.“He already did,” Davies grunted, his eyes fixed on the intercom. “He's playing a game. He wants us to look. He wants to show us he has nothing to hide.”As they pulled to a stop, a man stepped out from a small security booth. He was big but moved with a quiet confidence that spoke of serious training. This was Bruda.Davies rolled down his window. “Detective Davies. Mr Voss must have told you we'll be coming.”Bruda nodded. “He has consented to a search of the grounds and the garage. Please follow me.”With an electronic hum, the massive gates swung inward. Miller drove the car through, following Bruda, who walked with a steady pac

Myles's POV“Myles we got a problem. A big one,” Dean’s voice was strained and ragged with urgency. “The feds are buzzing. They’re putting together a task force. They’re coming for us.”I“Coming for us for what? But We’ve been quiet.”“The convoy attack last night,” he said.“That wasn’t our play Dean. You know that.”“I know that and you know that. But the cops don’t,” he said his voice dropping. “The one survivor they have says he saw Hellfangs colors. He says… he says he saw you, the Reaper of Hellfangs Leading the charge.”The world fell silent. Every piece clicked into place with sickening clarity. The ambush. The stolen guns and drugs. The lone survivor left to tell a story. The fake colors. It had Murphy’s stench all over it. The Ghost had made his move. He didn’t just want to start a war he wanted to erase me from the board entirely and yet again He had framed me perfectly.A cold rage settled deep in my bones. “He impersonated me.” It wasn’t a question.“It had to be him,” D

  • Saint by Day,Sinner by Night   CHAPTER 93

Murphy's POVThe night air was cold, but I barely felt it under the rush in my blood. My bike rumbled as I pulled it to the side of the dark road. One by one, my men rolled up behind me, and their engines growled low like beasts waiting to be set loose. The moon gave just enough light to show their masks. No one wore their Dead Revenants cuts tonight. Every single one had the Hellfangs patch on their back. Myles’s colors. That was the whole point. When the blood was spilled, the blame would fall on him.I looked down the road. Nothing yet. But I knew the convoy was close. We had been tipped. Every detail lined up. Tonight was the night. Guns seized from a cartel. Drugs too. The cops thought they were moving it quietly. They had no idea we were waiting.I raised my hand. “Listen up,” I said. Everyone stopped talking. Engines went quiet. Just the sound of the night and heavy breathing under masks.“You all know the plan,” I said. “We tear into that convoy hard and fast. No mercy. No s

Serena's POVKnox's usual grin was gone, and his arms were folded tightly across his chest like he was holding himself together.“Serena,” he said in a low voice. “We need to talk.”I led him inside, and we went straight to the sitting room but he wouldn’t even sit down. He paced the floor and finally stopped, staring at me hard.“Myles is about to make a dangerous choice,” he said.“What do you mean?” I asked even though I already guessed.“He wants out,” Knox said. “He wants to retire from the club. And he wants to do it now.”I blinked at him. “But retire? Can’t he choose that?”Knox shook his head. “Not like this. The code says you can retire only after forty-five. You know that. That rule wasn’t written for nothing. Gang life doesn’t just let people walk away when they’re still strong. The brothers won’t like it. Some are already grumbling. If he pushes it, he might have half his own men against him.”I felt cold all of a sudden. “But… he’s serious about it, isn’t he?”“Dead s

Serena's POVI didn’t like Naomi, not one bit, but I wasn’t going to let her walk all over me. Not anymore. The woman who took my best friend title and my husband once thought I’d stay quiet forever, but those days were long gone.I held my head high as she sneered at me in the lobby.“You think a marriage in the Voss family makes you a Boss Lady?” she hissed. “Don’t fool yourself, Serena. You’re nothing more than a placeholder, and everyone knows it.”I was about to tell her exactly where she could shove her insults when suddenly Myles’ tall figure appeared behind her, and the air shifted instantly.Naomi froze mid-word. Her lips clamped shut as if someone had stolen her tongue. For the first time since she began throwing her venom, she looked nervous.Myles’ voice cut through the tension, calm but sharp enough to slice. “Naomi,” he said with his eyes cold. “That is not how you speak to your superior.”Superior? I blinked, confused. What superior?Naomi’s head snapped toward him. “

Myles POV The next morning, I woke up feeling lighter than I ever had in my whole life. It was strange because usually my mornings carried the weight of yesterday’s fights, yesterday’s anger, and yesterday’s regrets. But today it was different. I opened my eyes, and the first thing I saw was Serena still sleeping beside me, her hair scattered across the pillow, her lips parted just a little as she breathed softly. A smile spread on my face without me even realizing it. For years, I had woken up with knots in my stomach and thoughts of blood and violence crowding in before dawn. But today all I felt was peace.I slid out of bed quietly, got into the shower, and started getting ready for work. Even while I shaved, even while I fixed my tie in the mirror, I couldn’t stop grinning. It almost felt strange, like my face wasn’t used to smiling this much. When I came out, Serena was up, wearing one of my shirts that was too big for her, and she was leaning against the counter in the kitch
