Dakoda "Do you feel prepared for today?" I inquire of my 3-year-old. Today marks his debut as a competitive surfer. "Yes, mommy, I was born to do this," Derek confidently responds. Dakoda Today is Derek's first birthday, so Kasey, Korey, Gage, and I are preparing for his birthday party. Derek loves watching Paw Patrol, so we decided to have a Paw Patrol theme for his party, even though his daddies wanted a surfing theme.We started by decorating the living room with Paw Patrol banners, balloons, and streamers. Korey D and baby Derek have spent the past two days in the hospital, which gave the guys and me the opportunity to complete the nursery before bringing them home. Kasey, Gage, and I are on our way to pick up our wife and baby from the hospital. As we get closer, I'm feeling nervous.
