Ethan POV

The final class bell were released with Silver pushing me right into my car and then saying goodbye.

Now I am on my way to Asher house, the Asher I have been actively avoiding for days and also who I'm trying to hide these crazy hickeys on my body from.

Yep, that Asher… ahh, I am so profoundly dead.

The hour-long drive was a special kind of torture, punctuated by heavy sighs and two separate stops where I just sat in parking lots, rethinking my entire life. But eventually, I ran out of road and excuses as I soon arrived at his apartment.

I got out, took a very deep breath before stepping forward to his door step, took another very deep breath, praying that for some reason he didn't answer, as then I could just text, 'Hey, stopped by, you weren't home,' and buy myself another day.

A minute passed of me pacing about, and finally, I rang the doorbell.
