ANA’S POV

“My priestess had chosen next week as the best time for the wedding,” Zach said, and the one thing I felt like doing at that point was slapping all the teeth out of his mouth.

I was still sleeping when I was being woken up that Zach was in the pack, and he would quickly like for a meeting to be held. With everything that was happening, a meeting was the last thing that I wanted to have. But of course, Zach was stubborn. He asked countless maids to come and check up on me until I forced myself to get out of the bed, answering his call.

The elders turned to look at him, and then they turned to look amongst themselves. I tipped my chin.

“You heard Rowan the last time. Right? We aren’t here to negotiate the time that this wedding is taking place. According to our own priestess, the wedding should be a month from now.”

“You will be joining me at my pack, Alpha Selene. Shouldn’t the reading from my own pack be what we use?” Zach asked calmly, and I scoffed. I hated the soft to

ANA’S POV“Are you sure this is the best idea?” I asked Logan, and he nodded. I looked at myself one more time. I was already told that the Alpha of Kyroshi pack loved the color red. I wasn’t going there to even try to seduce him. But all I wanted was for him to like me enough to form an alliance with us. I wanted to show the Elders that we were having even more packs under us. More packs in our district was one thing that they weren’t going to be able to go against. That was more than enough to show them that we didn’t need a stupid wedding or alliance with Zach. Somewhere in my head, I was thinking that the moon Goddess was cheating me. She gave me a new body, and then introduced me to the same person that had killed me, just a few hours after I woke up. I didn’t see how that was fair. Why didn’t she send me far away? But then, I wouldn’t have had Len or Logan. “Trust me, you don’t want to be making the mistake of attending a stupid party when you should be proving your worth to

ROWAN’S POVThe guards at the gates bowed as I walked into Zachary’s pack. His pack had always been a place of elegance. He always hid his former Luna. I never saw her face for once. And the next thing I heard was that she was dead. Of course, we both knew what he did to her. But who was willing to expose the other? He knew what was going to happen if he did as much as expose me. I wasn’t going to relax until I brought him down to crumble. He knew that all too well to deal with me. But there was just one thing he was being stubborn about. And that was getting married to Selene. I personally wanted them to get married to get her out of the pack the way I had managed to take her father out. But she had a strong head. And of course, with the support of Len and Logan, they were going to pressurize me until I managed to stop the whole thing. Something I was avoiding with everything in me. “Where is Elsie?” I asked one of the maids that bowed as they walked past. “The Luna is in the pala

ROWAN’S POVFuck!Every single time, I failed at ending her once and for all. There was definitely some kind of spirit guiding Selene. When she was little, her father or some maids always ended up walking in on me. And no, I wasn’t that stupid that I would continue trying the same method every damn time. I tried other things. Nothing just seemed to work. And I didn’t know what was more exhausting than that. There was a time when I had asked the maids to poison her drink. Somehow, the stupid maids got it mixed up, and ended up giving one the associates that came for a meeting her cup of tea. He died there on the spot, instead of her. I’ve tried getting her shot during hunting sessions. But at the last minute, someone moves, and they are taking the shot for her. At some point, she stopped going out because she was constantly under attack. And the last attack? You should have guessed by now. I planned that as well. It just didn’t make sense that the Elders didn’t see me fit to rule

ANA’S POVI finally allowed Logan to head back to whatever he wanted to do in the early hours of the morning. The both of us could barely sleep at night with Len banging on the door all through the night. I didn’t know if he was disturbing anyone else with the noise, but he was definitely disturbing me. At some point, I thought he was going to break down the door. But as soon as the sun rose, I was more than grateful that I made it through. And I tapped Logan immediately, giving him the permission to leave. I was even scared of leaving him out there alone. I didn’t know what Len could do to him.He no longer saw Logan as his brother, and that was a fact. As soon as I heard the door close behind Logan, I laid on my back and closed my eyes, allowing myself to be drawn into a deep slumber again. As I closed my eyes, the only things I could see were the possibilities of getting married to Zach. I could feel movement around me, but I refused to open my eyes. I had been feeling that way

ANA’S POVI should have been happy here. That I was away from the pack. That there were no more files to go through. There were no more meetings to attend. But I wanted to go home. I wanted to go back to all those things. I missed it. I wanted to plan meetings. I wanted to change pack route systems and everything. I wanted to sign files. I wanted Logan to hold me. I wanted to play with Anna.I didn’t want to watch Len watching me across the room each time. I didn’t want him to cuddle with me the whole time. I didn’t want him constantly obsessing if I even did as much as go to the bathroom. It just didn’t make sense. The both of us barely said anything to each other, but his hands were on me at all points. At some point, I cried. “I want to go home, Len,” I begged, but he wasn’t even moved. I might have been stronger than him, but I didn’t know what else he was capable of doing. Especially now that he was the most unpredictable person I had come across in a long time. The only thing

ZACH’S POVI didn’t need some kind of sorcerer to tell me that Selene was up to something. And this time, it wasn’t just because of her twin mates that kept getting in the way. She was definitely planning something of some sort. And I had to get to the bottom of it. It was already depressing enough that Rowan was supporting her. I couldn’t even deal with it at all. It was all too much to take in. But then, I was Zachary. There was nothing that went past me. I didn’t know how she wasn’t already smitten. I looked over at the other side of the bed, where Elsie laid. I couldn’t help but look away in disgust. She was the easiest to get. And of course, it was more than easy to convince her that we needed to get rid of her sister just so she could have a place in the palace. She did it with ease. By the time she had killed Ana, I already lost interest in her. But of course, I had to keep to my part of the deal. And now, she was still there. Always waiting for me to tell her the next move
