Chapter 9: Green Snake In Green Grass

I am glad I have left the Chambers without been seen, I have already avoid the guards and all that was left is to leave the inner courtyard and escape to the gate and then leave without been detected.

My bag is hung on my shoulder and as I see that the coast was clear, I lung forward only to bump into someone, I silently pray it wasn't a guard or am elder but my face turn sour as Sylvia's face came in view.

I shake my head because I think I was seeing things, is it because she has betray me and I am hurt that I'm seeing her face now? I ask myself but her voice jolt me out of my reverie.

"Going somewhere?" Sylvia asked.

It is evident from her tone that she is mocking me, her stance means she came for war and I wasn't even prepared.
