Ace I can’t believe the past few months have gone by so fast. In two weeks, Nora will become my wife, and surprisingly I’m not scared. What I am scared of is the bachelor party that Gavin has planned. I told him no strippers, that it was cliché and disrespectful to Nora and he promised he wouldn’t do that to me, but he found a loophole. He rented a party bus and hired waitresses that were barely dressed, and I felt uncomfortable around women for the first time in my adult life. I didn’t care about a bachelor party, but Gavin and Alex insisted that I have one, its traditional but I think they both wanted a reason to party. “Shouldn’t you be at home?” I asked Alex “Why?” “Your baby can come at any moment.” “I’m close enough that I can make it, why do you think I’m not drunk yet.” I shook my head. Alex still had a lot of growing up to do and I hope the baby makes him see that. “Would you like a drink?” One of the waitresses asked. “A beer will be fine.” If this happened before I
Alex I am never drinking again. This is the worst hangover ever. I lay on my bed waiting for last night’s events to re-play, but I was having a hard time remembering everything. I barely remember getting a lap dance, I remember Nora helping me to the bus, but why was Nora there? I remember making a phone call. Fuck. I hope that phone call wasn’t to Nora because I confessed my love to her. I quickly sat up making myself dizzier, but I had to check my phone. My heart dropped when I saw that Nora was the last person I called, but I didn’t have time to freak out because someone was knocking on my door. I quickly through on some clean clothes before answering the door, and to my surprise Nora was standing on the other side of it. “Can we talk?” “Um, yeah.” I moved aside and let her in. She made herself at home by taking off her shoes and curling her feet under her. “I got your call last night.” “I was afraid of that. I’m sorry, I didn’t mean to complicate things.” She patte
Ace We are getting married tomorrow and the nerves are finally showing up. I’m not nervous because I’m getting married, I’m nervous because I get to marry my soulmate and I’m afraid of fucking everything up. Nora wanted to keep the tradition of not seeing the bride the night before and the day of the wedding until the ceremony. I think it’s stupid, but it's what she wanted, and I always make sure she gets what she wants. A lot has happened over the past few weeks; some good, some bad, but it has made me realize that I love her more now than the day we met. I patched things up with Gavin, for now. I have a feeling he’ll piss me off again and it’ll be about Lily. I wish they would work out their shit and move on. I understand where they come from, but they’re both adults and they need to talk this shit out. Nora has it in her mind that our wedding is where they will rekindle their relationship, I think it's just going to be more drama. I made sure I had everything laid out and r
Ace Nora was mortified after we got caught. It took me a good five minutes to convince her to come out of the laundry room with me. I finally used it’s not fair to our guests’ card for her to come out. I told her they were waiting to eat because of us, and to make matters worse, Lily was there waiting on us with a smile on her face. “You guys couldn’t wait, could you?” “I’m sorry that I couldn’t keep my hands off my wife. If you were me, you wouldn’t be able to wait either.” “Can we not talk about this.” Nora chimed in. “I’m ready to get food and put this behind us.” Lily was still laughing as we walked off towards the area of the backyard where the food was being served. We had a table that was reserved for me and Nora with tables next to us that sat our party and our parents. I made sure to get Nora a plate of food. I wanted to make sure she eats. She has a habit of getting too busy to eat. “Where are you guys going on your honeymoon?” My mother asked. “I actually do
Nora Ace wouldn’t tell me where we were going until we were at the airport checking our luggage; turns out, it was Jamaica. We landed a few hours ago and I still can’t believe how nice this resort is. It's all-inclusive and they waited on you, hand, and foot. “What do you think Mrs. Crawford?” “It’s lovely Ace.” “Do you like the beach? I’m hoping you say no because I want to keep you in this room the entire week we are here.” “I would like to see some of the beach.” Ace responded by picking me up and walking us over to the bed. “I’ll let you see the beach if we can have some indoor fun first.” I pulled his face towards mine and crashed my lips against him. I will never get tired of kissing his lips. It felt like it only took seconds for us to get each other naked and entangled in each other. I tried to flip over, but Ace is stronger than I am, and grabbed my wrists and held them above my head. “Do you want to be in charge?” I nodded my head yes. “Only girls who
Nora The first thing I did when we got back from our honeymoon was visit Alex. Aubrey had gone into labor while we were gone, and I was tired of seeing the baby through photos and wanted to meet her in person. Their daughter was beautiful, the perfect combination of Alex and Aubrey’s facial features, and her name was even more precious, Paisley Claire. “She is so adorable.” I cooed at Paisley as she wrapped her hand around my finger. She was tiny and I was getting emotional. “I can’t believe you’re a father, Alex.” “Me, either. I’m so fucking terrified. Aubrey is probably going to kill me for telling you this while she is sleeping, but we want you to be Paisley’s Godmother.” “Really?” My heart leapt into my throat, and I wanted to cry. I always joked with him about being the godparent, but I didn’t know he would actually do it. “Yes, we thought you and Aiden would be perfect role models for her.” “Is Aiden coming to visit?” “He’ll be here tomorrow.” “We should al
Ace I was woken up by Nora peppering my face with kisses. We didn’t really work things out before we went to bed, but she was talking to me, which I thought was a good sign. I wrapped my arm and her and pulled her closer to me. “What are you doing?” “I’m trying to wake you up because I want to talk before work.” I released my hold on her and sat up and swiped my hand down my face. I didn’t want to argue this early in the morning, but she seemed to be in a good mood, so I agreed to talk. “I had some time to think about our conversation yesterday and the issue with Alex and I wanted to say I’m sorry.” This is not what I thought was going to happen, but I let her continue. “I’ve been ignoring and rejecting your feelings towards Alex and it’s not fair to you, but it’s also not fair for you to assume I would give up a lifelong friendship.” I nodded my head, so she knew I was listening. “So, we need to compromise. What would make you feel comfortable about this situation
Nora “Can I buy you a drink?” “No thank you, I’m waiting for someone.” “That’s a pity, a pretty lady like you shouldn’t be waiting. Allow me to keep you company until he shows up.” “I guess one drink won’t hurt.” “What is your name?” “You can call me Jade, what should I call you?” The gentleman gives me a smirk. “You can call me Ace.” I couldn’t help but smile. My stomach still had butterflies like it did on the first day I met Ace at this club. We decided we should go on a date night there since it’s been a while. The club has been more popular since Gavin went public. He had to get a larger place, and people have to sign up for reservations in advance if they weren’t part of the VIP program, and with Ace being part of the investors we are part of the VIP program. “Care to dance Jade?” Ace held out his hand and led me to the dance area. Tonight was playing out in almost the same way as our first night together. He spun me around, so my back was against his che
