Chapter 19 My Wolf

As I run out of the side door I immediately see there’s a full moon and quickly realize that it must be after midnight so it’s my 18th birthday. I never expected it to happen this way! I run so fast and make my way to the forest then quickly look back to see if any Guards noticed me. They know my smell now so I hope they shrug my running off as a small animal. I hear some movements as I’m trying to stay quiet and a few guards look around then shrug and go back to their posts. Thank Goddess I wasn’t caught! My vision is better in the dark now. I can see everything and my sense of smell is heightened too. I try to keep my mouth closed and endure the pain that is ripping through every bone and every muscle. Suddenly I feel burning on my finger tips and look down to see claws growing. My fingers are on FIRE! I keep my mouth shut as it’s live or die right now.
