LIAM The sun's rays hit my face from a small opening on the curtains, forcing me to open my eyes. I sat up on the bed, head aching like crazy as I ran a hand through my messy black hair. God this hangover's killing me. Maybe I shouldn't have drunk so much on a school night. Shit! school! I completely forgot about that. I tried to get up but the hangovers effects hit me like a brick wall make it me instantly fall back down on the bed. And that's when I saw it — right there ,by the nightstand — lay a note in what I could recognize as Adam's signature. At the thought of his name snippets of the night's events flashed through my mind. " Fuck. I actually made a full of myself in front of that damn angel." Reluctantly I picked up the note, not really wanting to know what the other hard to say. *. *. *. NOTE By the time you are reading this you probably just woke up. I had to leave for school since there was a student council meeting today, but I already called in sick for you so you're free for the day. the painkillers on the night sand should help with the hangover. breakfast will be taken care of by the staff and Yoon should check up on you from time to time. And for once in your goddamn life, try to stay out of trouble, coz trust me I'm not picking up a drunken demon again anytime soon . Yours truly Adam ( not birdbrain) *. *. *. " Is it just me or does it feel like he's being nice for once? Damn! Alcohol really does wonders, even if they're not the one drunk." ' Do I need a shower?' I lifted my arm up and sniffed, nearly gagging. ' yep. definitely.' About 30 minutes later I headed to the dining room wearing a pair black cargo pants, white Jordans, a plane white t-shirts and a classic silver cross earring to finish the look. The staff was as busy as always. Not that it mattered. As I sat by the dining table waiting for breakfast ,I found myself scrolling through my phone, not really sure how are the pass time. A maid soon brought in some bacon and eggs plus a cup of white coffee to wash it all down. Remembering my initial goal,I snapped my fingers, making the "Art of seduction " appear. The last time I'd gone for something I clearly had no control over, so this time I'll try to downplay it. After flipping for a while, I stopped at a page with the words— baby steps to gain affection— I rolled my eyes. Of course Nathan would have named it that. " Good morning young master Liam. You seem to be feeling quite better this morning,"Mr Yoon said as he passed by the table, placing some letters on top of a cupboard. " Morning" Mr Yoon had been serving Adam since he first arrived on Earth, meaning if there is someone who knows him better than anyone else, it's definitely him. " Um....Yoon. By any chance do you know if Adam has any hobbies or stuff that he likes to do?" " mmm.... Tough question the young master isn't quite fund of March unless it's part of his duties. But may I ask why you suddenly require such information?" I was quick to defend myself, stating that it was all out of pure curiosity. I doubt he bought the excuse though he didn't push any father the guy may be old but his definitely not clueless. "But perhaps," he suddenly begun before continuing," you could use this time to try and find Some answers yourself." of course why didn't I think of it sooner? I hurriedly finished my breakfast and conjured up a black and red spots jacket before quickly getting up and thanking Mr. yoon for his advice then rushed out. *. *. *. Yoon couldn't help but smile at how the young demon prince's mood had quickly changed from boredom to enthusiasm— noting how things in the mansion seemed to brighten since the ravenhead's arrival. meanwhile at Dukesspear Academy, Adam was in a classroom, mind fully engrossed in the literature textbook he was reading — or so it seemed. In reality, his mind was miles away, wondering how the ravenhead was faring on. Little did he know, the male he was so concerned about no further than just outside his classroom — seated on a high up tree branch trying to get a clear view of the classroom that LSU on the first floor — his appearance invisible to the naked eye. Just as Liam put on a pair of binoculars, Nathan appeared, startling him to the point of nearly dropping the binoculars. " On time,as requested. So who are we spying on today?" he asked before following the others days and spoting the blonde. "So it's your little birdbrain, huh?" he paused before continuing, placing his hands behind his head and leaning against the tree trunk," And to think I was your favorite," The demon shushed the male as he caught sight of a white haired student approaching and taking a seat on the blonde's desk as if it were a norm. he had expected the male to react but Adam just looked at the defiant female and began a conversation with her. Sensing something off, Adam instinctively looked out of the window, causing Liam to fall backwards of the tree just avoid getting spotted. All the while Nathan just chuckled from the tree branch, enjoying the scene and the fact that he was the only one who could easily be out of sight. The Raven head emerged from a bush ,twigs and leaves stuck in his hair but he couldn't care any less. Forget finding out his hobbies, he needed to get some answers. Knowing he didn't have as great manners before he decided to shift into a simple form a cut with color red eyes and simple obsidian collar. With his newly formed disguise, the demon cat easily filtrated the school premises. What he noted was the fact that the female seemed to have an a named dominance over the Angel. 'Maybe she's also an arch angel ' he thought to himself but pushed the thought aside when he didn't see a golden rosary around her neck. Later he decided to follow the female instead, seeing as his curiosity couldn't be contained. The green-eyed female was in archery class, too busy instructing a group of students to notice the small figure slipping quietly across the field and stopping beside the targets. Liam watched. He couldn’t help the faint sting of jealousy tightening his chest. But that was all it was… right? Because for all he knew, the blonde never seemed close to anyone. Sure, they were immortals — but even he had Nathan. So why couldn’t the blonde have someone too? Meanwhile, Adam sat in a student council meeting, seated at the opposite end of a circular marble table. The council comprised seven members, with Adam ranked third — right after the president and the deputy. As the meeting droned on, the blonde’s mind drifted back to the female’s earlier words. 'What are you going to do once you retrieve the forbidden scroll? Are you going to stay on Earth… or go back to Heaven?' Before, he would have answered without hesitation. But now… Now he wasn’t so sure. Heaven had its luxuries, yes. But Earth had freedom. No suffocating restrictions. No crushing responsibilities. And most importantly… It had the one person who made him feel wanted. “Earth to Adam? Hello?” A female voice snapped him back to reality. “Um… yeah, sorry,” he muttered, standing abruptly. “Kinda got lost there. On second thought, I think I’m gonna get some air. Excuse me.” At the same time, the white-haired female held her bow steady and released. Thwip. A perfect shot. The archery club members stared in awe as their president showcased her flawless skill. “Damn, she’s good. You might actually have some real competition here,” Nathan remarked, the two of them watching from a nearby tree. Liam, having had enough of Nathan’s teasing, haughtily looked away. He turned to leave— —and slipped. He landed paws-first on top of one of the targets. Oh no. Just as the female pulled out another arrow and aimed— —the cat froze. It would’ve been fine if this were a normal lesson. But she was blindfolded. His heart pounded violently. His limbs refused to move. The string pulled back. Released. The arrow sliced cleanly through the air. A perfect shot— But suddenly, she raised her hand, stopping the applause. Something felt… off. The air had shifted. Darkened. Like an unseen presence had stepped onto the field. In one swift motion, she tore off the blindfold. Before Liam could react, he was lifted off the ground by the collar. Green eyes — sharp and piercing — studied him closely. Shivers ran down his spine. Because the way she stared at him… …it wasn’t how someone looked at a normal cat. It was how someone looked at something suspicious. Something dangerous. The red eyes were definitely suspicious. But what really caught her attention was the obsidian collar. She specialized in identifying rare materials, and obsidian — especially this polished and expertly crafted — was far too valuable to be something a stray cat would just happen to wear. This wasn’t normal. Not even close. Sensing the danger thickening in the air, Liam reacted on instinct. He lashed out with his claws and managed to scratch the archer’s hand, forcing her to drop him and giving himself a chance to escape. He bolted. As for the female, she stared down at the claw marks on her palm. The scratches had actually broken skin, thin trails of blood surfacing before her healing ability slowly sealed the wounds. Her eyes darkened. No… She was certain now. That cat wasn’t some everyday stray. It was something far more dangerous. Something darker. As Adam turned the corner of the hallway, something suddenly crashed into him. “Oof—” He stumbled back. Looking down, he caught sight of a black cat with familiar red eyes. Before he could process it, the cat shimmered— —and shifted back into human form. “Liam?” came Adam’s deep, familiar voice. Yep. I’m cooked. Before Adam could react, Liam grabbed his wrist and shoved him toward the janitor’s closet. The door swung open, and Liam dragged him inside. Click. The lock snapped shut. “HEY! Let me outta here, dude! What gives?!” Adam hissed. “Shh! Could you be any louder?” Liam whisper-shouted. “Just shut up for a few seconds, will you?” “Adam.” A female voice called out from the hallway. He stiffened instantly. Liam froze too. Adam stepped out of the closet and quietly shut the door behind him. The girl approached, her sharp green eyes scanning the empty corridor. “Adam,” she said calmly, “have you, by any chance, seen a stray black cat around here?” Her gaze wandered suspiciously around the hallway. Adam simply shook his head. “No. Haven’t seen anything.” He knew she could easily read his thoughts if she wanted to. But instead, she simply took his word for it and walked away. Once the coast was clear, the blonde let out a slow breath of relief before unlocking the closet and letting Liam out. His heart finally slowed to a normal pace. Frustrated, he rubbed his brows, trying to calm himself. They were safe. For now. “Dude… you seem tense,” Liam said. “I’m surprised that’s even possible. Who even was that girl?” “That girl…” Adam began flatly, “…is the Angel of Death, you moron.” Liam stiffened. He opened his mouth to defend himself, but Adam kept going, voice low and irritated. “And to think I was actually considering letting you roam around freely. I can’t believe Yoon let you out of his sight.” “Hey, I’m the one to blame here. Don’t drag your friendly butler into this.” “You’re right,” Adam snapped. “It is your fault. It always is.” His voice rose. “First, the one-night stand. Then your over-the-top school entrance. And now this?! Demons really are as uncivilized as I thought — always causing chaos without caring about the consequences.” Each word hit harder than the last. “Did you even stop to think for one second that I have my own problems? That you nearly cost me my position as an Archangel?” His eyes burned with frustration. “No. You didn’t. And you know why? Because you never give a damn about anyone but yourself.” “I…” Liam faltered. “Forget it,” Adam cut him off coldly. “I’m done. Done being your human shield. Done taking this crap.” Silence filled the hallway. “Starting today, things are going to change.” His voice dropped dangerously low. “And you, Liam… you’re going to kick that rebellious side of yours to the damn curb.” Adam stepped closer. “Even if it kills you.” Liam gulped. He didn’t understand why Adam cared so much. Didn’t understand why his chest felt tight. But Adam clearly did. Even if Liam didn’t value his own life… Adam did. And if brute force was what it took to protect him— He’d do it. Again. And again. Without hesitation.Monday, 10th February, 2025 Liam sat at the back of the school bus, staring blankly out the window as the city blurred past. His reflection stared back at him — tired, distracted, and far too deep in thought for a Monday morning. His mind kept replaying the events of the weekend. The villa. The training. Adam’s words. Training with an archangel. He had absolutely no idea what that would entail, but one thing was certain — his life was about to change in ways he couldn’t even predict. And strangely… he wasn’t dreading it. If anything, he was looking forward to it. The bus jerked to a stop at the academy gates, snapping him slightly out of his thoughts. A sharp snap of fingers beside his ear finished the job. “Earth to Liam,” Kim said dryly. Liam blinked, finally focusing. “Huh?” “School. Remember that place?” They stepped off the bus with the rest of the students, merging into the morning crowd pouring through the gates. Liam shoved his hands into his pockets, glancing s
The sound of footsteps echoed through the hallway. They weren’t hurried. Not searching. Not frantic. They were calm. Measured. Patient.Outside, darkness had fully settled, the moon casting pale light through the villa’s tall windows. That dim glow stretched across the polished floors like ghostly fingers. Shadowy figures drifted aimlessly through the corridors — ghouls, servants of the house itself — parting silently as their master passed.Hidden behind the kitchen counter, Liam crouched low, barely daring to breathe.Under normal circumstances, he would have charged head-on without hesitation. But the soul flames burning throughout the villa were steadily draining him. His limbs felt heavy, his head light, and even staying upright was becoming difficult.Fighting recklessly now would only get him killed. So he waited.Observed.Adapted.The demon controlled the entire house — every wall, every light, every shadow. The most Liam had managed was forming a small concealment circle ben
Saturday, 8th February 2025It was a bright Saturday morning, sunlight pouring generously through the tall windows of Kim’s bedroom. Liam sat cross-legged on the plush carpet, controller clutched tightly in his hands, eyes glued to the massive screen. Beside him, Kim leaned forward with equal intensity, his jaw set in concentration. The two had been locked in battle for over two hours, neither willing to surrender an inch. The game’s dramatic soundtrack filled the luxurious room, punctuated by rapid button clicks and occasional frustrated groans.“Come on… come on…” Liam muttered under his breath.A final clash of attacks lit up the screen — then victory flashed.Kim exhaled sharply, dropping his controller back onto the couch. The raven-haired male had won.“Finally,” he said, stretching his arms above his head. “Breakfast?”Liam groaned dramatically, falling backward onto the carpet. “Rematch later.”Kim chuckled and headed downstairs, leaving Liam alone in the spacious room. The su
Thursday, 6th February, 2025 LIAM I sat in the empty classroom, finishing yesterday’s assignment while listening to music through my headphones. And by “finishing,” I meant completely copy-pasting it from ChatGPT. Now this is the life. Technology — what would I do without you? There was still about half an hour before the classroom filled up, plenty of time to plan my next act of chaos. Sure, this school wasn’t full of rich snobs, I’d give it that, but what’s school without a little trouble? “Let’s see… maybe flood the hallways, vandalize the principal’s car, pull the fire alarm—” My thoughts were abruptly cut off when someone yanked my headphones off. “Hey! What gives—” I froze. Standing over me was the school’s principal herself, Mrs. Kim — the woman I was absolutely convin
Wednesday 5th February,2025 It had been a couple of days since the two males moved into a small, cozy apartment following Adam’s unavoidable demotion. The closeness of the space should have brought them nearer, but instead it only worsened things. It got so bad that Liam spent most of his time at the Abyss, refusing to accept their new lifestyle, while Adam buried himself in work — not because he wanted solitude, but because he sensed the raven-haired demon needed time to adjust. Despite Adam being the one demoted, Liam had surprisingly been the most affected. Adam sat in the living room beside a pile of documents. In less than a week, his former position had already attracted numerous candidates. That was Heaven for you — things moved on regardless of circumstances. It was well past midnight. He wanted to go back to bed more than anything, but he knew he wasn’t in a position to rest. The only fortunate thing was that, while still an archangel, he had already paid the academy
Friday, 31st January, 2025 Music pulsed through the premises, exuding both class and edge. As always, Eden was never short on attention. High-profile guests frequented the establishment, all seeking a place to let loose. The service remained impeccable, the staff dressed in elegant yet enticing attire. Eden was divided into four sectors. First was the bar, where only the finest beverages were served. Second was the lounge, where guests relaxed as they pleased. Third was the indoor casino. And lastly, the Enter Lounge — where, much like a strip club, the establishment’s most attractive and seductive entertainers offered their clients the illusion of ownership over their heart, mind, soul, and body… all for one night. All for the highest bid. While all this unfolded, the club’s founder, Liam, had gone out for a late-night run in an attempt to clear his mind. He had been running for over half an hour before finally stopping near the park, exhaustion catching up to him. Panting heavil
