Chapter Seven: The business deal

Donald's POV

I sat on my couch scanning my sitting room, meditating on Rosa's recent behaviors.

Suddenly, my phone rang. My thumb moved quickly to the answer button after seeing who the caller was, Mr. Brian, my new business partner. “Hello, Mr. Donald, what about the business deal?” I looked at myself and thought about my family's reputation for a while. “Business deal? Well, I'm not in the right frame of mind now”.

I was lost in a thought; if I reject the offer, my family's company will lose the deal. What should I do?

“Hello! Hello! Are you still with me? I heard Mr.Brian call out to me at the other end of the line. His voice woke me from my thought. “Sorry for taking time to reply. I was trying to put things in order over here. I replied, trying to buy time in order to have a rethink about the deal.

Mr. Brian replied, “Are you still interested? Many companies have sent their proposals for this same deal”. My eyes quickly opened wide, my chest pounding. I was confused. I had to reply to him, “Can you give me a little time to put things in order here, please? I will call you back.

The tension I felt refused to stop even after the call. The contract deal involves billions of dollars. I'm afraid I shouldn't be a victim of circumstance. I leaned back on my couch, a deep, weary sigh leaving my lips as I could overcome the frustration with my breath.

My fingers fidgeted with the phone in my hand. I gritted my teeth, fighting the urge to overcome the tension, tightly closed my eyes, and stared blankly at the wall of my mansion.

The sitting room felt heavier. I needed someone to talk to; Rosa should be on her way back to city A. My PA left for a break.

Rosa is a good business analyst, and I need her to come over. My hand hovered on the phone, my heart felt dry, and I swallowed hard, my heartbeat drumming louder than my thoughts racing in my mind.

I took a shaky breath trying to feel better, but the tightness in my chest only grew. “What if she advised wrongly? Does she really love me?” I asked myself several times. I will be bankrupt if I'm defrauded. My thumb moved; I dialed her number.

As the tone began, my breath held captive by the tension through my veins. “Hi, love! How's your day going? I was just thinking about you.

There was a lady's voice in the background of the call when Rosa was speaking on the phone. I didn't even bother to ask who that was; the tension on me was outrageous.

My eyes immediately opened wide, and I stood up from the couch with my chest heaviness relieved and my mind relaxed after hearing my love's voice.

The thought about her secretive behavior disappeared. “Are you back?” Rosa laughed at me and said, “Yes, I'm back. Did you miss me?” I chuckled.

“Can you come over immediately, please? I need you right now.” I excitedly replied. “Alright, see you later.”

The call got disconnected. I smiled widely; she is good; I don't know where the doubt is from. Should I ask my PA to resume work immediately?

Later that afternoon, Rosa arrived at my house. We both hugged and smiled. After a while, the worried expression on my face caught Rosa's attention, but she couldn't transcribe it.

She couldn't hesitate but asked, "Tell me the truth, babe, what's going on?" Her stunning face elicited an incomprehensible smile.

I smiled, and laughter filled my mouth. Rosa frowned at me, feeling stupid. I chuckled and responded, "Sorry, babe, I actually remembered something. You should not feel bad. It would be an understatement to say I missed you. I have missed you a lot, which is why I want you to come and stay by my side."

I looked into her beautiful white eyes."If you do, why did you not rush in and kiss me like you usually do? She shifted her gaze to another part of the room, folding her hands and panting like a small child. "Babe, I am so sorry."

I quickly grabbed her and gave her the most passionate kiss of her life. She smiled and eventually calmed down.

"Babe, I received a business proposal about a global electric vehicle production from a friend. It is valued in billions of dollars. Specifically, seven hundred to nine hundred billion. According to my new business partner, the final resume is nearing completion, and many companies in city A and beyond are interested. I have called you here because I need your thoughts on this. You have a good business sense. I do not want to be taken advantage of. If I am duped, you will go hungry after marrying me." She chuckled...

"You are not serious; I am hungry when you are a billionaire?" We both laughed for a while. "Rosa, this is not a laughing matter." I mumbled.

"Well, could you please get the document for this business deal? I will look into it and get back to you. When she said that, I felt relieved as if I were in a pool of water, chilling."

I know my beautiful future wife is intelligent. She dropped the paper and snatched me like a baby, kissed me, and licked me from head to Johnson.

Hmm! cried out for more. Rosa is great in bed; we had a good time. She sent me away from my own room, uuh!

"Can you excuse me, distractor? I need to be alone right now!" We both laughed, and I quietly left for another room.

I began to have reservations about the deal, wondering if she could tell if it was a scam or a genuine opportunity to propel my company to the top of the business rankings in city A.
