The car remained silent for a while till it occurred to me that he was being calm with me after my attempted escape, I should be worried!

I turned to look at him. He was driving, his eyes fully focused on the road. I could only wonder if he knew Rhea helped me with this. Was he going to punish her because of me? Oh fuck. Why do I always put those that help me in trouble?

"I was going to see my friend and her daughter...when you would have finally forgotten that I existed..." I sighed out loud as I spoke to neither him nor myself. I just had to say it. It was on my mind.

"And I hate you." I didn't know when I blurted that out but Leo turned and gave me a sharp look the moment those words left my lips.

"Of course you do," He looked back at the road. I'm glad that was his only reaction to what I said."...you've never liked me."
