Once alpha left, my mum went to her room. I didn't want to bother her knowing she would want to still be reminiscing from whatever could have happened in her meeting with alpha.

I flipped the switch in my room and sighed. There was an floor bed but that was all. I sat there and drew my knees to my chest, resting my head on them and staring at the floor as though it was the most interesting thing I knew in the moment.

I thought about Shayla, Ash and everyone else and how they were doing. Surely by now they knew that we had escaped and thought of us as traitors but they were in my heart everyday.

There was no activity for me to do so I just kept pacing back and forth in my room until it was midnight and time for me to sleep.

I flinched awake from my sleep when Alpha's voice called through the mind link. "Get ready for pack run in thirty minutes."

I groaned and immediately tuned him out, knowing he was addressing the pack in general anyway.

My mum knocked on my door only five minutes late
