His brows furrowed in rapt concentration. I could almost hear the gears turning in his head. “You think that will work?”

“It will. You need to show everyone how genuine you are by how much you can part with. This auction is a charity event, and all the proceeds go to a humanitarian organization.” I let the information sink in, building enough momentum for him to show more interest. “If words get out that you are the highest sponsor, imagine the pride my dad will feel to have you as his son in law.”

“Thank you, Arya.” A wide smile broke out on his face. “I’m so happy to have a woman like you as my wife.” All of a sudden, he pulled me into a crushing hug. “Thank you.”
