Chapter 1: No One Is Allowed to Operate on Her!

"Vivi, I know this might be hard for you to accept, but the child in your belly really isn't mine."

In a luxurious apartment, a clean and handsome young man was looking at a girl with an exquisite appearance, though her demeanor was slightly cold.

The girl's abdomen was slightly protruding, indicating that she had just become pregnant not long ago.

Hearing Wayne Pope's words, even the usually composed Vivian Winifred found it difficult to remain calm.

"I'm sorry, but the person that night wasn't me. I was with Stacey that night," Wayne Pope took a step back, standing protectively in front of Stacey Goldsmith. "There's something I've wanted to tell you for a while now. We should break up. The one I love is Stacey, not you."

"You—what did you say?" Vivian Winifred raised her beautiful eyes, feeling a sharp pain in her heart.

She thought she was carrying her fiancé's child and believed they would soon get married.

Although there were signs suggesting that Wayne Pope cared more about her half-sister, Tang Stacey.

He always seemed to be protecting Tang Stacey, but many times, she had made excuses for him, telling herself that it was because Tang Stacey was good at acting and that Wayne Pope was just too kind.

One was her fiancé, and the other was her sister; surely, they couldn't be together!

Tang Stacey stepped forward, tears streaming down her face, "I know I was wrong. If you can't forgive me, then… I, I'll give Yiqing back to you. Don't blame Yiqing, it's all my fault. I shouldn't have, shouldn't have fallen in love with him. I fell in love with him first."

As she was about to kneel before her, reaching out to grab her sleeve, Vivian Winifred took two steps back, avoiding Tang Stacey's hand.

Tang Stacey's eyes were red as she knelt on the ground, crying bitterly.

"Shouldn't you be the one crying?" Vivian Winifred looked at Tang Stacey with a cold smile.

Her heart felt like it was being squeezed, and her throat felt as if a stone was lodged in it, making it painful to breathe, let alone cry. Yet, Tang Stacey was crying so freely and openly.

It was she who had suffered such a huge blow, yet it seemed as if Tang Stacey was the one who was more pitiful.

"Vivian Winifred, can you stop being so harsh! She already feels very guilty. She has always felt guilty about this, believing it was her fault. What more do you want?"

"We haven't gotten married yet, and nothing happened between us. We were both thinking of you, why are you being so aggressive?"

"Look at you, you always act like this, unable to speak nicely!"

"Stacey has always been thinking of you, what have you done for her?"

Wayne Pope stepped forward, shielding Tang Stacey, as if Vivian Winifred was a hungry wolf or a fierce tiger, ready to devour his Tang Stacey.

Vivian Winifred gave a self-mocking laugh, her throat feeling as if a knife was stuck in it. She took a step back, "Let's break up. Remember, I'm the one who dumped you, not the other way around! I can't stand someone like you."

Wayne Pope's expression changed, these words made him extremely uncomfortable.

"Vivi—"

"Oh, Mr. Pope, by the way, don't come to me for any company matters anymore. I don't have the time for it."

It wasn't until she left Wayne Pope's apartment and aimlessly wandered the streets that Vivian Winifred's tears began to flow uncontrollably.

She tried to lift her head, attempting to hold back her tears.

Though she had some suspicions about the child in her belly, and although she sensed something was off with Wayne Pope's attitude, she never dared to believe it.

She couldn't remember much, only that she had drunk too much at a company event for Wayne Pope and stayed in the hotel room he booked for her. She thought it was Wayne Pope who came, but it turned out to be someone else.

She couldn't remember who that person was, but she vaguely felt it wasn't Wayne Pope.

Thankfully, it wasn't too late; the child could still be terminated.

Vivian Winifred wiped away her tears and finally walked into a hospital.

"Is it this girl, right!"

"Is it her, right?"

The old patriarch of the Yun family was excitedly holding a photo, "Quick, find out where she is. She's carrying my great-grandchild, we must find her, the child cannot be lost!"

"Sir, we've found out she went to Noble Hospital!"

"What? She went to the hospital?"

She had no intention of keeping a child whose father she didn't even know.
