Chapter 12

Willow's POV

"There. Up ahead. We're nearly there," Maddox beams as he gestures a mile or so out from our cabin which we just arrived at moments ago. 

Ugh, I'm in pain. My feet are killing me and the welts over my back and ass aren't feeling much better.

I whine, letting out a heavy sigh in response. "My whole body hurts, Maddox. I don't think I can walk much more, and that," I point to the spot he showed me, "that's a long ways to go yet."

He sighs too, knowing that he owes me from what he did today. "Come here," he groans in defeat, a small grin playing on his handsome face. I walk over to him and he helps me into a piggy-back. "This is the last time I'm doing this, okay?"

I laugh quietly, clinging my arms tightly around him. "Whatever you say, my King."
