Chapter 26

He had fresh bristles, light brownish eyes, sculptured jawline but what stood out foremost was scars on his face. He had three marks, one on his nose, second one on his left cheek and third on his forehead. He was wearing a suit like everyone in this house as if it was the dress code assigned. 

“I assume you don’t speak Italian,” He said in his Italian Dialect. I gulped before saying anything as he kept ambling closer to me. My tensed lines grew into a frown. 

“Yes, and how may I help you?” I asked, my tone tight. I refused to fear him. He might be an influential guy but I owed him nothing. So there was no need to be afraid. 

He didn’t answer me straight, just kept circling around me as if he was scanning my body, looking for any defects. As he finished his circle, he asserted to me, “There’s nothing extraordinary in you,” he batted his eyebrows as if my body didn’t satisfy his preference
