The first thing I heard, as soon as I woke up, was an argument between three men and the monotonous clatter of wheels. The first thing I felt was a terrible pain in the back of my head and neck. With great difficulty, I opened my eyes, and the only thing I could see in the position that I was in was my own knees. My hands were behind my back and bound so tightly that I could hardly feel my fingers. I wonder how long I stay in this position?

- How much do you think they will give for a knife? The vile voice of one of the kidnappers sounded right next to me. Two more sat opposite. I squinted down at my hip and with great effort forced myself to stay still. They took my mother's blade, and the one who twisted it in his hands had already signed his own death warrant.

The carriage swayed, my splitting head swayed in time, I wanted to scream in pain, but I only bit my cheek from the inside.

“Too conspicuous,” the second one chuckled, “are you not afraid that the crows will figure you out?”
