Ashley bustled in through the door with Giselle's wedding veil in her hand. A smile erupted over her lips when she saw her taking long breaths. She was a bundle of nerves.
"Hey, everything's gonna be alright," Ashley gave her a comforting smile before putting her veil over her head."I know..it's just.....I am very nervous," Giselle responded. She was on edge."Every bride is. Nothing out of the ordinary. Think about Steve. From today on you will have him in every sense of the word," Ashley rested her head on her shoulders and looked at her through the mirror."Giselle, are you done? We need to head out," Mr. Watson stepped in. His eyes widened when he saw her. A smile came over his slips as his fatherly love shone through his eyes."Dad," Giselle stood up and ran up to Mr. Watson to hug him. Her father encased her in a bear hug and kissed her on top of her head.Ashley like an emotional person she was, couldn't control her eyes from moistening over atAshley wasn't expecting that. She looked around for Daniel but he had again disappeared."It's okay. If you don't want to go. I totally understand. I won't force you. Your security is of utmost importance. I wouldn't want anything to happen to you. Especially, today. But if you want to go then let me assure you no harm will come your way," he said sincerely.Ashley wanted to go but at the same time, she didn't want to leave without telling Daniel. Anger swelled inside her when she realized Daniel and Emily both were missing. She had taken her decision."I want to go," Ashley told him.Mr. Watson smiled and said, 'You should tell Daniel first. Where is he?" his eyes scoured through the crowd."I don't know. I'll text him," she stood up."Are you sure? I'll advise you to talk to him in person. He might not want you to leave," Mr. Watson persisted."No, that's fine. He won't mind," Ashley waved it off. Hiding her frustration over Daniel."Alright
Ashley cupped his face and smiled softly at him. He smiled too."Did you miss me?" she whispered only for his ear."Like crazy," he brushed away a tendril of her hair off her face. He kissed her again and tugged her towards their bedroom."We've got to make up for those ten days," he said impatiently. When they reached, Daniel pushed the door shut and pounced at her like a starving beast, catching her off guard. Their tongue mingled again. He tasted of chocolate and raspberry. The wedding cake. She giggled remembering how much she wanted Daniel to feed her a piece. Daniel was in no mood to play, though. He made quick work of her clothes. Before she knew it, she was standing stark naked in front of him. Daniel took a step back to take in her vulnerable state. Goosebumps scattered all over her body. A gust of cold wind caressed her skin and seeped into her bones.Daniel had seen her naked many times before. But she still hadn't gotten used to his intense gaze
She opened her eyes to live her dream. There he was. Sleeping peacefully. But still causing her trouble. Making her insides curl. Causing her heart to lose control and driving her senses crazy. Her lips pulled up in a smile as her hand reached for his face. She let her index finger run along the length of his handsome face. The pad of her finger skimming along with his forehead, aristocratic nose, pink lips, sharp jawline. Her finger trailed back to his lips. The lips she had tasted countless times but still hadn't gotten enough of it. The feel of his lips against the pad of her finger fired up her thirst once again. She wanted a taste of it. And so she went for it.She dragged her lips up and, ever so slowly, placed them on his. Her tongue slid across the length of his lips, wetting them with her saliva. They felt soft and rough both at the same time. Her white sharp teeth nipped lightly on his pink lower lip as she didn't want to wake him up. Her lips darted out again and sli
Ashley had become his light. His sun around whom his world revolved. He was waiting for the day to get over so that he could go back to his angel. Daniel, smiling to himself, was in his office skimming through some files when his father made an unannounced appearance in front of him.Daniel's blood boiled instantly at his sight but he chose to keep quiet. He wanted to know with what intention his father had approached him this time."Father. To what do I owe this pleasure," he said sarcastically while returning to the work in hand.Blaine took a seat across from him. He looked serious."Son, you have to put an end to this," he said"Put an end to what?" Daniel asked without looking up"End to whatever the hell is going on between you and that slu.....divorcee. Didn't you see the pictures? How she was fooling around with two men at the same time," anger laced his voice. Daniel's jaw clenched. He gave a death glare to his father."That's none of your
In an attempt to make Daniel realize that he can't control her life, she landed herself in a life-threatening situation. His voice gave her chill, made the end of her hair stand, and caused her heart to beat ten times more violently. Her throat parched when the sound of footsteps echoed through the room. With every step, it was getting closer."We meet again, Ashley," he added as he stepped closer. Sweat dotted over her brows. She was stupefied. And then the light flooded the warehouse after blinking a few times. Fear constricted her neck as he witnessed him standing before her with his ever malevolent smile. Ashley's feet begin to back away on their accord with every step he took forward."Ain't you happy to see your husband?" he mocked her. There was no humor in his eyes, though."Stupid, stupid Ashley. Mind I ask you a question? How are you so stupid? Not that I am complaining," he approached her with his hands clasped behind. He was slightly limping.
Daniel spent the whole night at his office. Drowned in the darkness and shrouded with an eerie silence. This is strange, how one starts to see things more clearly in the dark. He saw it too. He saw how one truth turned his life upside down. He knew he was doing wrong when he signed those papers. Even though it was the right thing to do. He was hurt but not angry. The man still hadn't forgiven himself for that, then how could he expect Ashley to forgive him. But still, he couldn't help himself but feel hurt by Ashley's words. This must have been really tough for her.He knew Ashley had trust issues after what she went through with Michael. Her ex-husband, who pretended to love her until he got his fill of her body. It must have been really challenging for her to start trusting Daniel. But despite it all, she had started to trust him and the man had given her all the reasons. He didn't blame Ashley for how she reacted. It was natural for her to go frenzy after learning that
She was hovering on the edge of unconsciousness when approaching firm footsteps caught her attention. Her ears perked up at the sound of the opening of the door and the footsteps became louder."Oh...There you are.......Sugar" a manly voice greeted her, causing her breath to hitch. A chill coursed through her body as the hair on her nape pricked up in response. His voice resonated: a freezing wind in a cold night. So unfriendly and so threatening. She had heard this voice. She knew it in her guts. But where? Her chain of thoughts was severed when he heard him approaching her. Step by step. Ashley whimpered in fear as a drop of warm tear trickled down her cheek. Her body grew stiff when she felt his finger pad wiping her tear. And then he tsked."Poor Ashley. Life has always played hide and seek with you. Isn't it?" he mocked her. And then she felt him going behind her back."Wanna know who I am?" he whispered in her ear from behind. Ashley breathed in his cologne and
Her eyes flickered onto the woman sitting in the wheelchair, catching a lone tear trailing down her cheek. Blake was listening to their conversation."My mother died in a car accident," she affirmed without blinking away from Blakely. Her eyes scanned her for any similarity but except their eye color, there was nothing common between them."Is that what they told you? No wonder. Well, it's a half-truth sweetheart. Your parents did meet a car accident but Blakely survived and your pathetic father died," he said casually.Anger fired up through her veins as she jolted the ropes that were restraining her."Don't you dare talk about my parents like this," she warned him in a cold tone."No?" he questioned mockingly. And then started laughing."Ohh Blake you've got a lovely daughter," Mr. Watson spoke to Blake gently caressing her cheek.Ashley had no idea how to react. But she didn't like the way he was treating Blake." Why am I here?" she gritte
