He snatched a neatly folded stack of clothes from one of the maids before shoving them into my arms.

“I suppose it’s high time someone taught you a lesson,” he growled, his voice laced with fury.

Before I could utter another word, he seized my wrist and dragged me down the sprawling hallway.

“Take those clothes to the boss.”

“The… the boss?” My face drained of color, and my heart plummeted into the pit of my stomach.

“N-no…” I whispered, my voice trembling. “I don’t want to die… not yet.”

“I promise I’ll behave from now on,” I pleaded through my sobs. “I’ll do whatever you ask. Please… don’t send me to him.”

I pleaded with him until my voice grew hoarse, but it fell on deaf ears.

Without uttering another word, he stopped in front of an enormous mahogany door, released my wrist, and strode away without so much as a backward glance.

“I guess this is where my story ends,” I murmured bitterly. “So much for living a long life.”

I summoned every ounce of courage I had left and gave the door a gentle knock.

“Come in,” a deep, commanding voice called from the other side.

My trembling fingers curled around the golden doorknob as I slowly pushed the door open.

The moment I stepped inside, the man before me came into view…

I guess he came out of the bathroom, water dripping from his pale skin.

His jet-black hair clings wet and messy to his forehead, strands falling over his sharp brows and framing his chiseled face.

Crimson eyes glow with hunger, lips parted to show the tips of teeths . His jaw is strong and clean-shaven, cheekbones high and defined. Broad shoulders glisten with droplets that roll down his sculpted chest and tight abs.

A white towel hangs low on his hips, barely covering the thick bulge of his cock as it presses against the fabric. His long legs are powerful and bare, every inch of him radiating raw, dangerous sex appeal.

" Why are you here ?" He rolled his crimson eyes in annoyance.”

"I-I... I was told to bring you these clothes," I stuttered, my voice quivering as I held out the neatly folded clothes.

"Where the hell is Kai?" he thundered, his voice reverberating through the room.

"How dare he send a mere maid into my chambers?" he growled, his crimson eyes blazing with fury.

In the span of a heartbeat, his crimson eyes morphed into something so unnervingly inhuman that my mind failed to make sense of it. A bone-chilling terror coursed through my veins, leaving me utterly petrified.

I remained rooted to the spot, trembling uncontrollably like a leaf caught in a violent gale. My pulse thundered in my ears, and my breath hitched as he advanced with slow, calculated strides, his piercing gaze never leaving mine.

Every step he took felt like a countdown to my demise.

When he finally stopped in front of me, the suffocating silence was enough to steal the air from my lungs.

“Leave.”

The single word, delivered in a voice as cold and commanding as death itself, shattered the invisible chains holding me captive.

I didn’t wait to be told twice.

I took to my heels and bolted from the room as though death itself were hot on my heels, never daring to glance back.

I sprinted through the endless corridors until my lungs burned and my legs threatened to give out. It felt as though I had been running for an eternity.

Strong arms caught me, steadying me before I could stumble.

“Slow down, angel,” Andrew murmured, a gentle smile tugging at the corners of his lips. “Take a breath. You’re as pale as a ghost.”

“Why are you running as though you’ve seen a ghost?” Andrew inquired, his emerald eyes narrowing with concern.

I remained utterly transfixed, rooted to the spot as though my feet had been cemented to the floor. My lips parted in a futile attempt to speak, but my voice had deserted me entirely.

The horrifying image of those inhuman eyes continued to haunt me, sending icy tendrils of fear snaking down my spine. My heart hammered violently against my ribcage, threatening to burst free, while every breath lodged painfully in my throat.

“I-I…” My lips quivered helplessly, but the words lodged in my throat, refusing to escape.

“Shh…” Andrew soothed, his voice gentle and reassuring. “Take it easy, little one.”

He placed a reassuring hand on my shoulder, his touch steady enough to anchor me amidst the storm raging inside my mind.

“You’re safe,” he said softly, his emerald eyes filled with quiet reassurance. “You’re out of harm’s way now. No one is going to lay a finger on you.”

I finally regained my composure and recounted every harrowing detail of my encounter.

The instant I finished, Andrew threw his head back.

“Hahaha…!” His rich, unrestrained laughter echoed through the corridor.

“Ha… ha… ha!” He clutched his stomach, struggling to catch his breath as another fit of laughter escaped him.

I stared at him in utter disbelief, my patience wearing dangerously thin.

“Andrew!” I snapped, glaring daggers at him.

"How could you make light of something so terrifying?”

“I’m sorry,” he replied between fits of laughter, raising his hands in surrender. “I truly didn’t mean to.”

But another chuckle escaped him, making my glare deepen.

“…He bears a far stronger resemblance to a vampire ,” I murmured beneath my breath, convinced no one had heard me.

Andrew’s lips curled into an amused smirk before a low chuckle escaped him.

“Oh, he is a vampire,” he replied matter-of-factly. “Not merely a vampire, but a pureblood—one of the oldest and most formidable of his kind.”

“You’re serious?” I breathed, my eyes widening in utter disbelief.

“I was absolutely certain your boss was going to tear me apart,” I confessed, my voice quivering with lingering dread. “I had already resigned myself to a gruesome fate. I thought I was as good as dead.”

“You ought to consider yourself extraordinarily fortunate that you’re still alive,” Andrew said gravely, every trace of amusement vanishing from his face.

“No one—not even the most trusted members of this household—would dare cross the threshold of the his chambers unless they had been personally summoned.”

"Hold on..." I breathed, scarcely above a whisper. My eyes searched his face for answers.

"Are you... one of them?" I asked cautiously. "A vampire?"

He didn't utter a single word. Instead, he wore a mischievous smile that only deepened the mystery, leaving me with far more questions than answers.

"Kai must have had a serious grudge against you," he said, his tone laced with amusement. "Why else would he send you straight to him?"

It finally dawned on me that the man who had escorted me into the mansion—the one with those glacial azure eyes—was Kai.

He gave me a comforting pat on the back, his gesture meant to ease my lingering fear.

"Be wary of Kai and the rest , he said that and left leaving alone in my thoughts.

I sluggishly made my way back to my room, exhaustion weighing heavily on my shoulders. After taking a warm bath, I crawled into bed, hoping to find some peace after the overwhelming events of the day.

I was violently pulled from my sleep the next morning by a throbbing migraine and a sudden, ear-splitting sound.

BOOM! BOOM! BOOM!
