Chapter 87 – The Morning After

Lucien’s POV

The moment her mouth brushes against mine, something snaps loose inside me. The tension I have been holding in my chest all night uncoils like a spring. Her lips are warm, soft, and taste faintly of wine and sweetness. The kiss is brief, more a tease than a promise, but it sends a spark of heat through my entire body.

Before I can follow her in again, she pulls back with a grin. It is the kind of grin that makes everything else disappear. The walls between us are gone. Alcohol has softened her movements and quieted her hesitations. Her eyes meet mine with no fear, no filter.

She reaches out and slips her arms around my shoulders. I answer by pulling her closer, steering her gently toward the shadowed corner of the hallway. I press her lightly against the wall, tucking her between me and the cool surface. There is no one here to interrupt us. No reason to stop.

I find her lips again, but this time I am not careful. This time I kiss her like I

Chapter 97 – The Predator’s IllusionDorian’s POVThe wind lashes my face like sharpened glass, slicing at skin already numbed by cold. Each gust feels like a punishment—like the world itself has turned against me. The sky is a bruised shade of gray, swollen with snow that falls in silent, suffocating sheets. Mist swirls around the skeletal trees, thick and malevolent, slithering through the branches like a ghost hunting for warmth.I can’t see. I can barely breathe. The forest is no longer a place—it’s a thing. Alive. Watching. Waiting.Every crunch of snow beneath my boots sounds like a war drum in this quiet void. The terrain warps before me, distances stretch unnaturally, and time feels like it's bending in on itself. I don’t know how long I’ve been wandering. Hours? Days? Weeks?Snow reaches my thighs now, dragging at my legs with every step like I’m wading through frozen cement. My muscles burn. My lungs rattle. My ribs scream with every breath, and even my teeth ache from the c

  • Sold To The Wrong Lycan Heir   Chapter 96 – The Trap of Shadows

Chapter 96 – The Trap of ShadowsLucian’s POVThe firelight flickers violently inside the war tent, casting dancing shadows on the canvas walls like spirits trying to escape. Outside, the camp bustles with distant clanks of weapons, the occasional howl of a restless wolf, and murmurs of soldiers preparing for the offensive at dawn. But inside this tent, it's just me, the maps, and the rising storm inside my head. We’ve been planning our next move for hours. Supplies calculated, routes marked, escape tunnels mapped in case of ambushes. The war is bleeding us slowly. Every step we take forward, we lose a toe in the process. And now, when I finally feel like we’re gaining ground, something presses into my mind—sharp and unnatural.A voice. “Lucian? Can you hear me?”I freeze mid-sentence, quill suspended over a blood-stained parchment. It’s not spoken aloud. It’s in my mind—threaded with magic. Ancient. Familiar.Theron.His voice isn’t laced with sarcasm or fury. Not filled with venom

Chapter 95 – The Burden of BloodLucien’s POV“Gone?”Theron’s voice is barely more than a whisper, yet it slices through the chaos like lightning splitting the heavens. The storm howls above us, matching the fury building inside my chest. Rain hammers down in relentless torrents, soaking through our cloaks, armor, skin—down to the bone. The earth beneath our feet is soft and treacherous, sucking at our boots like it wants to drag us under. Thunder growls like a beast overhead.“Gone?” Theron repeats, his voice cracking, his pupils dilating as if he's seeing a ghost. “What do you mean—gone?”My fists clench so tightly that blood seeps from where my claws pierce my own palms.“She vanished.” I grit the words between my teeth. My wolf paces within me, on the edge of snapping. “Vanished from her room in the dead of night. No sign of forced entry. No scent trail. No packed belongings. Not even a freaking hairpin out of place. Cathy didn’t just leave. She was taken.”His mouth opens. No so

Chapter 94 – The Reckoning of BrothersSelene’s POVThe morning doesn’t begin. It erupts. The emergency commline beside our bed screams to life, its piercing chime slicing through the early hush. Lucien is already moving before I fully register the sound. His hand darts to the device, voice clipped, urgent. I can only make out fragments from the other end—words tangled in panic and static.“…no sign…vanished…no disturbance in her quarters…”Lucien’s spine stiffens. The line goes dead. He doesn’t speak. Just stares—hard and blank—at nothing, his jaw clenched so tight I hear his molars grind.“What is it?” I whisper, already sitting up, heart racing. He exhales once, a long breath through his nose. “Cathy is missing.”I blink, disoriented. “Missing? What do you mean missing—?”“She never left her room last night. Or so they thought. This morning, her bed was untouched. There were no signs of a struggle. No broken windows. No magic traces.”I swing my legs over the bed, pulling on clothe

  • Sold To The Wrong Lycan Heir   Chapter 93 – Shifting Ground

Chapter 93 – Shifting Ground Selene’s POVI barely remembered waking. Just warmth. My body molded into Lucien’s, our limbs tangled, his breath steady behind my ear. I stirred first, shifting to glance at the clock, but his arms only tightened.“Lucien, we have a full—”He cut me off, voice thick with sleep. “Let the world wait.”I laughed quietly, trying again to wriggle free. “You’re being ridiculous.”“I’m king. I can afford to be.”His lips brushed the back of my neck. I stilled. My pulse sped up. The moment stretched. I felt his hand splay against my stomach, firm and possessive.“Stay,” he whispered. “Just for a little longer.”Resistance? Gone. I melted back into him. Even my wolf rolled over in agreement, purring through our bond. I reached behind me, fingers threading into his hair. He responded immediately, his mouth trailing over my shoulder, igniting heat wherever it passed. There was no urgency, no frenzy. Only rhythm. Breath. The creak of the mattress and quiet sighs sha

Chapter 92 – Quiet FireSelene’s POVHis lips brush mine again. We pause. Warm breath between us. His gaze stays on me. Steady. Soft. I smile without thinking. He does too.We laugh. Sheets bunched at our waists. The sound is small and close. The storm is behind us. We earned this calm.Lucien leans in. Voice low. “No one’s getting between us again. I won’t let it happen.”I touch his cheek. “Neither will I.”I guide him closer. His weight settles. I press a palm to his chest. I pull at his shoulder. He understands. He always does.We move together. Slow at first. Then sure. We do not rush. I breathe him in. He holds me like I am something he chose and will choose again.I pull back and look at him. No throne. No court. No rulebook. Only us.“Stay with me,” I whisper.“I will,” he says.We kiss again. I let the world fall away. The walls fade. The door is only wood. The bed is only wood and linen. He is real. I am real. That is enough. The rest belongs to us. The details stay in the d
