Chapter 23 - Blade Towers is infiltrated

The man was dismayed. He thought she would be happy to see him but she was rather apprehensive. He was tall, and muscular with dark brown hair, matching his brown eyes. His baritone voice was warm but his eyes weren’t. “Do you not want to see me?” he asked with disappointment.

Cassandra took a step back and looked around for anything to anchor herself with. She was sure that should she scream, he might kill her before her father reached her. The last time they met at the graduation party which was open to the public, this guy was interesting, stealing her heart but with this move, she was afraid. “I must confess that you freaked me out. I don't even know your name.”

“You can call me Al,” his eyes softened as he said.

Cassandra wasn’t convinced. She was security conscious and wasn’t moved by what she felt. Her sense of reasoning was stronger. “I can? Or that is your name?” She asked emotionlessly. The man smiled a little.

“The name is Allan Great but for you, it's Al.”
