I am doing everything in my power to control my breathing. He is making a spectacle as always and drawing attention to us, which I am sure was his whole intention. Reece grips my waist tighter, reminding me that I am not alone. He doesn’t say anything though, allowing me to dictate how this interaction with my brother will go. I decided to try the tactful approach and then go from there.

“Fabian, it’s nice to see you. Are you here with anyone tonight?” I try to open polite conversation and ignore all of his previous comments.
