Back on Track
Thank you for your patience while this story has been on hold for a bit. I had a family emergency that required my full attention for much longer than I anticipated. I am back to the keyboard now!
I am writing regularly again and editing as quickly as possible. My regular posting schedule will be twice a week as I build up my chapters. I hope to be back to a daily posting schedule by the end of July. LindseyWe got to our hotel in record time. Reece ushers me straight to the very large bathroom and lifts me on to the sink to inspect my arm. He looks terrified, like it wasn’t just a little bit of glass. For some reason this tantrum of Dominique’s has affected him more than anything else she has tried so far.“It doesn’t look like there is any glass in your arm. I’m so sorry about that, I should have been able to protect you better.” He gently caresses my face, looking almost broken.“I already told you, don’t do that. She is a leech that will not go away easily. We’ll figure something out, but this isn’t your fault, it’s hers. Now, help me out of this dress before I get blood all over it. ReeceI roll over and stretch, reaching for Lindsey, hoping to get a little more sleep before we leave for our honeymoon. As I reach around the bed, though, I can't find her. I shoot up, my grandfather’s words ringing in my head. I frantically look around the room and find her sleeping at the dining table with the tabloids and magazines scattered everywhere.I look at her face and it is clear she has been crying. LindseyOn the way home from the hotel I am still super pissed. I sat as far away from him as I possibly could. I wasn’t sure what I wanted, but space is something I needed to sort out my thoughts. I was glad he let me go to the room to change by myself. He at least understood that I would put up a good front out in public, but our fight hasn’t even begun. With everything I overheard, both of our companies would suffer if we didn’t get this situation figured out. We could deal with Fabian easily, but the mess with his grandfather was going to be far more complicated and Max said I would be needed to help make it right. I am not going to let the innocent people who rely on us for their livelihood suffer because of the greedy people in the mix. That is my only motivation right now for being helpful. LindseyI have Anton escort Fabian downstairs and out the front door with strict instructions to company security that he is not allowed to enter without an appointment and prior approval from Reece or myself.I have a feeling I know where he is going to go with his complaints about us and we need to get ready for that, but first the bimbo trio needs to be dealt with. LindseyThe drive to the marina was pleasant. Reece kept pulling me close, kissing me, running his hands all over me, but as soon as I started to reciprocate he would stop and give me time to cool down. This was his version of punishment for me being angry with him and keeping me at a distance all day. It wasn’t fair. AngieAfter a not so restful night of tossing and turning. I finally get up and make my way to the bathroom. I figure I might as well just get up and start my day.The guest room Brandon has me in what looks like a luxury suite at a hotel. All the finest furnishings, the softest bed and duvet imaginable, but a cold feeling like it’s all for show. 50 Angie We put together the timeline of travel with the timeline for purchases. The only difference is Old Man Raines made a few additional stops. About once a month he stayed in Florida for an extra two days before heading out to whichever of the three destinations he was scheduled to be at. “What’s in Florida?
