LOGINGRACE POV
“I’m so happy, I'm doing this with you." My mom said in excitement.
I stood close to my mom as we stood in front of the church door. Today was her wedding day, and I was walking her up the aisle like she wanted.
“I’m so glad you could make it”, My Mother said, tears in her eyes. I flew in really late last night and was unable to meet my stepfather.
“Don’t cry you will ruin your pretty makeup”, I whispered, feeling emotional.
The doors to the church opened, and we walked in. I held her hands as we got closer to the altar, and I could see my stepfather, Richard.
I stopped breathing, my footstep paused as the view got clearer.
A ridiculously handsome face came into view.
‘Why is he here?’ I clenched my dress, steadying my footstep.
I felt choked up as if I couldn’t breathe properly. Looking at him in a black suit with a scowl plastered on his face, I knew my eyes weren’t playing tricks on me, it was Hayden Reid.
Ours locked, and Hayden’s eyes widened slightly.
The entire wedding process was a blur, as I took a seat, my heart refusing to believe what my eyes were seeing. The uncanny resemblance between the older and younger one made me feel scared.
I remembered everything that happened at the club between us.
“Grace, I want to introduce you to your new stepbrother”, My mother said, dragging me towards him.
“You have always wanted a brother right?” She reminded me cheerfully.
“This Richard Reid, your stepfather and his son Hayden Reid”
I was hyperventilating at her introduction. I had kissed my stepbrother, and I have unholy thoughts about him.
I felt like screaming, but all I could do was nod.
“You’ve got to be kidding me”, Hayden muttered
“Do you two know each other?” My mother asked, looking from one person to another.
“No”
“Yes”I glared at Hayden fuming, he was infuriating.
My stepfather Richard laughed, “Looks like you two are getting to know each other already.”
“Son, you have to take care of your new sister and treat her like family.” Richard tapped Hayden and then moved to the dance floor with my mom.
Hayden’s twinkling eyes made me know that it wasn’t over between us and that he was having fun.
I tried my best to ignore Hayden at the after-party, but his eyes were always on me, and I couldn’t hide from them.
I stood up and left to the restroom.
I felt someone following me as I came out of the restroom, the hairs on my hands standing.
“Ahh”, I yelped as I was dragged into an empty room.
“What do you think you are doing? I whispered-yelled as I faced Hayden.
“Mmph”, I moaned as he kissed me without warning. He grabbed both my hands above my head, pushing his body into mine.
“Stop! What are you doing?” I pushed, trying to resist him.
“My new stepsister”, Hayden whispered.
The desire and passion in his voice made me shiver.
“Keep your hands to yourself”, I warned, my chest heaving.
“Okay, Grace, but you melted into my kiss” He smirked.
“You forced me”, I denied. “I’m your stepsister, so please keep your hands to yourself.f”
“Sister?” Hayden scoffed. “Why don’t you go tell the parents” He blew hot air in my ears, making my knees weak.
“I wonder what they will think. The new step-siblings have a tryst on the eve of their parents' wedding. That will make a good headline,” Hayden sneered, smiling.
“Whatever, stay away from me” I pushed him away and walked away from the room.
The way he spoke to me sounded familiar and made my heart beat faster.
I patted my face. “Behave yourself, Grace. When did you become so shameless?” I sat down, trying to catch my breath, but it didn’t stop the wetness from flowing between my legs.
Dinner wasn’t what I expected it to be; it was far from peaceful.
“Can you stop?” I pinched the hands that gripped my thighs tightly.
Hayden ignored my look and continued eating, pretending as if his hands weren’t placed close to my pussy.
“Your nipples are poking out”, Hayden whispered into my ear. I jolted back as my ears were really sensitive.
I discreetly checked my clothes and was relieved when I saw that it wasn’t very bad.
“Keep your hands to yourself. You loser,” I swore, fighting his paws on my thighs.
I began sweating as his fingers traced patterns on my legs. I stood up abruptly, startling my mother.
“Are you okay?” Elena asked, looking worried.
“I’m fine, mother, please excuse me” I walked out of the room like something was chasing me, and for the rest of the evening, I did my best to avoid Hayden.
In the middle of the night, I heard a knock on my door. I thought it was my mother and sleepily opened the door without asking any questions.
My breath was knocked out of me as the door was closed and I was pushed behind it.
“Hayden”, I gasped out. My heart immediately jumped into my throat.
“What are you doing here?” I hissed, sleep disappearing from my eyes.
“Nice to see you too. You look so good in your pyjamas”
I had totally forgotten that I was wearing cute silky pyjamas my mother had prepared for me.
My stomach flipped.
“What do you want, Hayden?” I asked.
“Don’t pretend like you don’t know”, He whispered, his face going dark and intense.
I swallowed.
I was scared of whatever was about to come out of his mouth. Suddenly, I didn’t want to hear his response.
“I want you, Grace”
My breath hitches.
“Don’t be silly. My mother just got married to your father”
“This doesn’t change anything” Hayden said. He pushed my hair behind my ears. His eyes went soft.
“It doesn’t change the fact that I know your panties are soaked”
I gasped at his words, in shock and embarrassment because it wasn’t far from the truth.
“Or the fact that you are mine”
GRACEAfter a night of rest, I indeed felt better. I sat upright, holding my head and couldn’t find Hayden. Immediately, he brought me to his room. I fell asleep with him holding me.A few minutes later, after freshening up, I walked downstairs and was surprised to see Madison.“Madison,” I called out.“G, I’m so happy that you are alright,” Madison said, drawing me into her arms. “I’m sorry I wasn’t there with you, G.”My eyes got a bit teary. “It wasn’t your fault, Mads.” I moved backwards and finally took a good look at her. “What the hell are you wearing?” I asked, laughing. I pinched the hem of the blue shirt she was wearing. “Who owns it?”“I lent it to her,” Ryan said, jumping onto the sofa.“I’m wearing it only because I have no choice,” Madison retorted, rolling her eyes.“I’m sorry for leaking out your secret, Mads,” I apologized to her, who looked confused, giggling, then turned to Ryan. “I really want to know what you did to Madison, but I swear, she is your biggest fan.”
GRACEI felt like cussing as I walked through the university hallway. If I had thought last week was worse, this week was terrible.Eric’s useless post on the school blog wasn’t making it easy for me. I was still in shock that he had labeled me a cheater.“I can’t believe Hayden likes someone like that,” a girl whispered, bowing her head.I frowned, clutching the strap of my purse tighter, and walked into my lecture hall. The forum was still buzzing with comments. I hated Eric and his audacity. It was funny how he was quick to label me as a cheater.Even though Hayden had told me at the hospital to ignore it, I still felt angry.I brought out my phone, about to send the video I took of him and the girl I caught him with at his apartment. My phone suddenly turned black. Someone was covering it. I looked up to see who it was and groaned loudly when I saw it was Olivia with her minions.“What do you want?” I asked, pushing her hands away from my phone.“As head of Hayden’s fan club, we h
GRACEI looked behind me to see if there was someone else she was talking to.“You, Grace,” she said, blocking my way.“What do you want?” I asked, frowning. Her friends entered the restroom and locked the door.I looked at the three of them and was getting really annoyed.“Get out of my way,” I said, pissed.“You only have a chance with him because I dumped him,” Emily pushed me backwards. My expression hardened with anger.“What the hell do you want? If you want Hayden, you can go have him. Although I doubt he will accept you,” I said.“Also, you are just a fling,” I ended, pushing her out of my way.Her other friends blocked my way.“What is wrong with you?” I was genuinely curious. If it wasn’t for Hayden, I doubt we would have any relation with each other. My stomach sank as I saw them blocking my way. It was three against one, and I doubted I was going to win.“Let me go!” I yelled.Emily laughed, reveling in my struggle.I stopped struggling. I didn’t want her to think I was af
GRACEI searched his eyes for anything I could find, but they were blank.“A date? What about our research work?” I looked at him, pushing him away from my body.Hayden moved away from my body and lay beside me, his head turned towards me.“I meant after our work,” he finally said.I was thinking a lot of things at once. I didn’t know whether it was a real date or a casual one. I fidgeted with my clothes, thinking whether I should reject him.“Don’t think too much, Angel.” He sat upright, and I did the same. “Can’t friends go on a date?” He said with a small smile.“Friends,” I whispered, my heart aching. “Okay,” I nodded.“Let’s get on with it,” Hayden said, offering a hand to assist me to get up.****“This is where we are having our date?” I asked Hayden, exasperated.“Yes,” he said, chuckling. “What, you don’t like it, Angel?”I looked around the ice rink and rolled my eyes. Why in heaven would he think I would love his idea of our first date?“I think this would end badly,” I sai
GRACEA heavy knock on the door made me stir awake, my head aching.“Grace, go get the door,” Madison groaned, covering her ears with a pillow.I cleaned my eyes sleepily, staggering to the door. I wasn’t ready to wake up. I pushed the door open.“You have a package,” the older woman said.“I think… maybe they’ve been a mistake,” I said with a confused face. I looked at the lilies and pink roses wrapped in a bouquet. She looked down and read, “Grace Davis.”“Yes.”“This is for you.” She pushed the flower into my hands and left.I pushed the door closed, still in surprise.“Who was that?” Madison asked, sitting upright, her hair like mine scattered.“I just received flowers.” I sat on my bed, shocked.Madison squealed, her eyes getting clearer. “Check if there is a card?” She asked quickly.I looked through and was able to see it immediately. The name on the card made me smile.“Who is it from?”“Hayden.” I couldn’t hide the smile on my lips.Madison sat beside me, peering into the car
HAYDENI stopped breathing the moment Grace lifted the mask off my face.I knew exactly how angry she was going to be. She was still furious about what happened in the locker room. Her eyes widened like a deer caught in headlights.“Hayden,” she called, her voice hard and cold.“Angel,” I replied, practically begging. This was the woman I wanted to spend the rest of my life with. I was willing to take anything she gave me.“You! How could you do this? Play me for a fool?” she whispered, tears glistening in her eyes.My heart shattered. This was the second time tonight I’d made her cry.I swallowed the lump in my throat.“I didn’t mean for it to happen,” I tried to explain, but the words felt useless. She turned around and walked away.I refused to let her leave without fixing this.“Wait!” I caught her in a hug from behind. “I’m sorry, Grace.” I held her tightly as she struggled, pressing my face against her back.“At first, I didn’t know it was you. By the time I realized… it was alr
