Chapter 5

Tyler’s POV

I went into my room and sat down on my bed. I pulled off my shoes and lay down with my feet still on the floor. I took in a deep breath and breathed out. Damn, it’s been a really long day.

I started thinking about how this day went. How is this girl able to tame me so easily?

Before leaving the house this morning, promised myself I was going to watch my guards beat Jonny to a pulp. I promised myself I would make sure his daughter is tortured right before my eyes. But after seeing her, I changed my mind. Even my one guard that slapped her cause she called me dumb, I punched him. Like, I fucking punched him for slapping her, even after she called me dumb. No one calls me dumb without dying for it. I am the fucking leader of TGS Clan.

With this girl around, I am just like a baby.

I promised her that I would train her, and that she would attend school. Now, even my family likes her so much. I never bring any of my captives home. I don’t! Immediately I get them, I sell them!

Oh yes! I sell them for the price that their owner owes me and if the person is not worth that price, I go back for something else. If there’s nothing else then, that Clan is in trouble!

But this girl?

“Tyler?”

I sat up on my bed and looked at my door.

“Come in, dad” I said

He opened the door and walked in “How are you?” He asked

I nodded. “Good.”

I stared at my father. Did he notice anything strange with me?” I thought

“Okay. I asked the maids to serve your food. Make sure you eat before going to bed.”

“Okay.”

“And don’t stay up late, you have something to do for me tomorrow. Then, one of the guards called and said they held the men at the black site. Apparently, they were trailing your car after you picked up Audrey.” He said

“Yes. Jonny put a tracker on her watch, luckily, I found it before we were anywhere near home. We had to make sure he wasn’t following us before we came back, so, we went in circles for a very long time before coming back here. That’s why we were late” I explained to him

He nodded. “I definitely trained you well” He said and we both chuckled.

My father used to be the leader of the TGS clan, but, the moment my mother died, he said he couldn’t continue leading them. He had been training me since I was seven, so, he handed over to me, telling me I was ready. He’s still stronger than me, even right now, but he still stepped down for me.

“Take a shower, eat your food and get some rest” He said and headed for the door.

“Dad…” I called

“Yes?” He turned to look at me

“Am I different?” I asked him “I mean, does it feel like something has changed? Do you feel like I have changed at all?”

He laughed “That was the same question I asked my father when I met your mother” He said and left the room.0

** THE NEXT MORNING*

Audrey’s POV

I was woken by the sounds of gunshot. I was scared! Damn! How did I get myself In this situation? I’m definitely going to be killed today!

I trembled!

I heard the shots again and I covered myself with the bedspreads, as I continued trembling underneath.

I heard a knock on my door and I was much more scared than ever.

“Don’t kill me please.” I shouted from underneath the bed

“What? Audrey?” I heard Bella’s voice

“Audrey?” Open the door; she said turning the door knob repeatedly

I was about jumping out of the bed, running towards the door, and opening it, but I stopped myself.

No! I can’t.

“Audrey!!” I heard her call again

I shook my head in fear

“Open up!”

“I can’t” I said. I returned to my position under the bed spread.

“Huh? Why? Is someone in there with you?” She asked

“No. But what if you’re just going to kill me?” I asked her

“Kill you? What are you saying?” She sounded surprised

“I heard the gunshots, I’m not coming out” I said and buried my head in my pillow

I heard her laughing from behind the doors, was she actually here to kill me? Is that why she is laughing?

I shook underneath the bed covers.

“Open the door Audrey, or I’ll blast it down with my gun” She said

Her voice had become more serious. It was not as sweet as she sounded yesterday, it also wasn’t as calm as she sounded seconds ago.

That means … She definitely was here to kill me.

Oh my God!

What do I do?

I have to get out of here. I have to go before she knocks down the door with bullets. She will definitely not spare me if she does that.

She’ll kill me too! I kept trembling. Different thoughts ran through my mind but I couldn’t do anything. I was too scared to leave the bed.

What if I stand up and she shoots through the door and it went through hitting me. Is this how I was going to die?

I shivered at the thought of death.

I don’t want to die!

I can’t die now!

I should have stayed with daddy!

I cried.
