Chapter 19 - At Peace When She's Around

Caught in surprise by Tyler's sudden action, she was knocked off balance and stumbled. Her face landed on Tyler's sturdy chest.

She was a little dizzy for some time and her forehead hurt a little at the force she collided on his chest.

Tyler tilted his head to look at Jade who rested her forehead on his chest.

Their eyes met when Jade slowly lifted her head. Tyler frowned when he saw that her forehead was red.

Unconsciously, he lifted his hand and caressed her forehead. "Does it hurt?"

It took all of Jade's self control to repress her eyes from rolling. She bit her lower lip so that she wouldn't blurt out anything that would agitate this annoying man in front of her taking into account his temper.

"No," Jade answered and shrugged her shoulders before stepping backward only to lose her balance once again.

With Tyler's fast reflex, he wrapped his arm around her waist to steady her so she wouldn't fall.
