Chapter 20 - Trauma

Angry drivers cursed at Tyler as he maneuvered the car and swerved to another lane cutting some cars in the process.

Jade didn't know when and how long she shut her eyes. Her body was shaking and her breathing was erratic.

"We're here," Tyler announced, pulling Jade out of her shock.

Breaking down, Jade wept for a while and when she finished letting out her frustration, lifting her head she stared at him.

"I want a divorce," the words that came out of her mouth caused Tyler to exude a terrifying aura.

"We aren't getting divorce until we have completed our mission," he said and slammed the steering wheel.

The sound of his fist slamming the steering wheel made Jade jump as it evoked fear she felt when she witnessed her parents being murdered.

The scene when her parents were killed replayed in her mind.

Hidden by her parents in the closet when their house was raided by uniformed men. Almost, cutting her tongue, biting it to smother her scream, Jade watched the men brutally tortured
