Shock was an understatement when I saw Charles sitting majestically on his rotating chair before me. When did these all happened? My mouth opened like a fish gasping for air out of the water

“Pamela?”he called, I could see the shock written all over his face, and I knew I was the last person he is expecting to see here, likewise me.

I thought about turning around and walking out of his office to save the last dignity in me but I couldn’t do it. I remembered the contract I signed with Royal and the whole fake engagement drama.

“Cha..Charles”I was unable to form a complete sentence, I’m such a looser.

He let out a boisterous laughter, one which said "who's laughing now," and he looked at me with amusement

“This is something so unexpected, I never guessed I will see you in my company looking for a job”Charles said with a smirk on his face.

I never believed it either. At the moment, I was too stunned to talk—I could barely form any meaningful words from my mouth
