Power of love.

Arriving in Alexander's bedroom, as expected, Mina was asleep, but when she heard the door open up, she immediately opened her eyes and sat up on the bed because she thought it was Alexander.

She hated to bother him with her sick state.

"Phew, thank goodness it's only Mateo!". Mina sighed in relief as she thought to herself before getting up from the bed. "Mateo, you're finally back". She announced before giving him a hug to welcome him.

"Yeah". "And I heard you're sick". Mateo pulled from the hug before he said.

"Who told you that?....". Mina asked, but it didn't take long for her to notice her three mischievous kids. "You three told him, didn't you?". Mina asked with raised brows, her voice was low, it was as if she even forced words to come out of her mouth.

"Of course mommy. You're sick, and you refused to tell grandma and daddy. So we told big brother Mateo about it instead". Tyler announced, not feeling guilty at all.

Mina's right hand gently massaged her temple before smiling. "I'm really fine Mateo. It's not a big deal at all and you guys shouldn't have bothered your Uncle Mateo because of me".

"It's a big deal to me, Mina. Why don't I take you to the hospital immediately?. Your face looks really pale". Mateo suggested in a worried voice tone.

Mina immediately went ahead to check the wall mirror that wasn't far from where she was.

"This is bad. He would notice".

"Who would notice?". Mateo came closer and questioned, but Mina didn't reply and rushed into the bathroom to wash her face over and over again.

"You see, mommy doesn't want Daddy to be worried about her". Tyler folded his arms on his chest as he said, reminding Mateo of what he told him earlier.

"Come on, let's go bring out your presents, After that….". Mateo stopped talking for a while to stare at Tyler, Taylor and Tessa that were staring at him with raised brows, as if they expected him to say something more. "Don't worry, I'll definitely help your mommy to the hospital".

"Who's going to the hospital?". The hoarse and yet cold voice, caused panic in the atmosphere.

When they turned around, it was Alexander. After a whole week trip, he rushed back home to meet his dear Wife and kids.

"Daddy, you're finally back! We missed you a lot!". Tessa ran to give Alexander a hug, followed by Tyler and Taylor.

"Of course, I'm back now my babies, and I'm not leaving any of you behind anymore". Alexander bent down and smiled at them before he placed a warm kiss on each of their foreheads, after that his mind focused back on what he heard Mateo said.

"Who's going to the hospital?". Although he tried to suppress his emotion, his voice was still so cold and intimidating that it forced Mateo to say out what was in his mind.

"Seriously, I know nothing about any of this. I just returned right now and heard Mina is sick". Mateo explained immediately because the way Alexander was staring at him was so terrifying!.

"My wife is sick?. Where is she?". Alexander questioned in a hurry and Mateo pointed his finger towards the bathroom.

Alexander didn't hesitate for a second and ran towards the bathroom.

"Whoa. Now that's the power of love. My big brother really has changed. If only I had someone to take care of too, that'd be sweet". Mateo muttered to himself before he remembered what occurred between him and Tina this morning.

He scoffed before turning to face the kids.

"Come on, let's give them some privacy". He led them out of the room after saying.

Meanwhile, entering inside the bathroom, the first thing that Alexander did was to hug Mina tightly like he was going to lose her any minute.

"You're back so early". Mina said, but no reply from Alexander who was still busy with hugging her. "My face, it's…. It's going to ruin your clothes". Mina spoke again, since her face was still wet.

She didn't get the chance to wipe the water off her face before Alexander suddenly came in and hugged her.

"Let's go". He held her hand and took her out from the bathroom, before leading her towards the exit door of their king sized bedroom.

"But where are we going?". Mina was stunned, she never expected this to be the second thing that her hubby would do after just returning back from his business trip.

"To the hospital. You're sick".

Mina let out a chuckle before setting her hand free from Alexander's hold. "I'm seriously okay. It's nothing serious….". "Whoa".

Alexander didn't care what Mina was trying to explain to him. He carried her in bridal style and dashed out of the room, with his own intention of taking her to the hospital, by himself.

He hated her admitting that she was okay while her face already showed how sick she already was.

"Take care of my kids for me, I'll be back soon". Alexander said to Mateo before leaving immediately with Mina still in his strong arms.

"Jeez…. He didn't even hesitate. I'm getting jealous".

"You're jealous of our Mommy and Daddy, big brother Mateo?. Why don't you get yourself a girlfriend then?". Tessa teased Mateo.

"Hey, don't tease me, little kiddo. It's not as if I won't get a girlfriend one day. You know what?". Mateo asked, and Tyler, Taylor and Tessa only shook their heads.

"I'm going to tell you kids a story about a stubborn young lady I know. We featured in a movie play together and she was so annoying to me that I was glad the movie ended already…..". Mateo started telling them his story.
