Anger burnt its path up my chest and formed a lump in my throat as I rocked back and forth on my heels, pondering about what had happened a few minutes ago. She wasn't supposed to hide anything from me. Never in a million years would I have believed that someone like Amber would put me out of my flaming mind.

I couldn't fathom how she was comfortable hiding things from me, but tonight she did. I suddenly felt odd and a suck feeling in my guts. A grunt slipped out of my lips, and I curled my palms into fists.

'We need to cool off,' my wolf stated, and I couldn't agree less. Ever since the bonfire started I had been hard as well, with her next to me and her scent making me lose my mind. The need to grab her right there when I kissed her was so strong that thankfully for the timely intervention of her rejection, I would have ripped those pretty garments off her body and deep myself into her, unlocking ever little she has in that little head of hers. But now, there was no Amber.
