LOGINLara's pov:
I couldn't believe what I heard at all , no way it was possible, I'm just 26 how can my ovulation window close now?, The whole test proves I'm totally fine so where is the complications coming from? I was soo devastated The only thing I could do was hug Dr Jane.. She has been a mother Figure to me right from time , "this.. what do I do "? I was lost, then she spoke up "not as bad as they look , two options"... Thinking deeply about what she said I just thought of James, no way he'd be happy if he hears the first option and no way I'm letting another man's sperm in me, James and I have survived a lot , depriving him of that chance will hurt So I made up my mind " I choose the second option "... I have always wanted to carry my own child , that has been my desire for years, I wanted to care for my own children, give them the motherly love I never got , that was before meeting miss Jane though... Hugging her tight and getting a pat on the back , she asked me to go change! Yeah time to face reality .... Moving to the other room I went to the table in the middle of the room to pick my pants to put on " stupid hospital wear" I sighed as I always had hard time trying to change from it Already pulling It up to my neck and couldn't see a thing no more , I heard the sound of the door open " oh miss Jane I'll be done soon, just need to get that dress off me" Not hearing response which was unlike here I brought my gown down only to see a tall huge and handsome man looking straight at me! "ahhh , damn you pervert!" I told my bag from the side and threw it at him, and that was a bad Idea, because I lost my balance and down I went , "oh noo" falling to the ground I waited for an impact but instead I felt a strong manly scent fill my nostrils Damn this scent was .... I couldn't tell but there was something about it "I see you're comfortable in my arm, should I bring coffee or maybe cookie so you'll relax more"? My eyes flew open when I heard his voice Looking straight into his eyes and sharing the same breath my poor heart began beating too fast , " wow , what a really loud heartbeat " he said again and this time I pushed him away and regained balance "you... you should mind what you Say" I said and frowned "besides this is a ladies room" pointing at the sign on the door he looked towards the direction of my hands and raised his brow Feeling he didn't want to get shamed by a lady he cleared his throat and said "I can be whereever I want to be at anytime , where is Jane "? Looking at him with disgust , I immediately knew which animal he was, a werewolf! I said under my breath and began feeling dizzy " I can't breath the same air with them " I muttered under my breath and picked my pants from the floor and walked as fast as possible to another room Coming out of the building finally dressed up , I sighed internally and entered the car , " phew, James, here I come ... we have a lot of activities to do " Thinking about the wolf I just had an encounter with, it sent shivers down my spine and I prayed to the heavens in hopes we'll never ever cross paths Moving that aside I remembered my fiancee I smirked as I dailed his number " hmm , this Is usual " I raised a brow as I had already called three times without him answering the phone ... I know how much my fiancee cherishes me Moving it to the back of my head I decided to get a strong wine then drive home and meet him Parking at the front of our apartment, I didn't even wait a second, I left my documents in the car and picked just the wine, stepping in , the house reeked of strong liquor, and the sound of song playing at a very loud volume " this songs.... for only " that mood" I felt my body shiver a bit but I waved it all aside and went straight to our bedroom " James my sweetheart, let's make ba....... Coming in the door was wide open , as I got the shock of my life! "JANIS!" I screamed with my might My childhood friend was right there! sleeping with my fiancee "James how could you"? I spoke again My whole body was weak , I could only stand frozen on a spot The bottle in my fell to the floor and shattered into pieces, just like my poor heart James at first was surprised, but Janis wasn't, she smiles devilishly and climed down the bed and stood face to face with me "Well what do we have here"? she said and James walked up behind her "Lara , this... I can explain "... "WHAT! EXPLAIN WHAT! HOW DARE YOU TRY TO GIVE STUPID EXPLANATIONS WHEN I CAUGHT YOU REDHANDED "? I said and gave him a sounding slap Tears were at the corner of my eyes but I fought to keep it in "How dare you"? Janis said and slapped me back.. Caught off guard my Butt landed on the hard floor " you bitch, hands off my man" she added and my ears twitched "me? a bitch? you are the one sleeping with my fiancee Janis and I'm the bitch here"? I dusted my butt as I stood up "I doubt that fiancee even had you in mind since, Baby tell her what you've been doing to her vitamins ...." Janis said with a smirk and I turned to look at James " I... I replaced your vitamins with birth control drugs " James said as his jaw tightened My heart sank finally , James ... " You know how much having children means to me and you did this?, tell me where have I gone wrong? all you needed I provided , and this is how you repay me? "Liar! Janis spat " you haven't done a single thing for my man apart from stress his brain " Putting my hands on my waist I then said " if he really is your man then he should have a good reason why my name is always first in the documents? Seeing she didn't have what to say I laughed and crossed my hands " guess this fiancee thing isn't really working out as well as it is " "Lara , just leave right now , you're no longer welcomed here" James put his pants on as he said "hello, I'm the owner of this , we already signed the papers last month remember? this is all mine , now you both should get out of my house and my life " I said and I pointed my finger at the door Surprisingly they both laughed and Janis finally found her tongue " oh sweetheart, you're so dumb , do you think I'll have my man sign those rubbish papers and let you handle it? no way, you foolishly handed all your assets to him, so darling you're what I'll call ..... " she put her hand on her chin then said " PENNILESS " hahaha Hearing this , the last piece of my heart shattered and I bled internally "James you can't do this to me, you know the main reason why we signed that paper, my heal...." I chocked on my tears.. "take the car with you, you have exactly 20 minutes to pack your things and leave Lara , this is how much I can tolerate you right now" James said as he threw a moving box at me " or you're welcome to be our housemaid, don't worry you'll be placed on salary , and then you'll be sleeping in that dog's crib" Janis said and laughed " that's enough Janis , get dressed we're stepping out ". James scolded and Janis hissed , kicked my hands and left the room. In less then 20 minutes I packed my not so plenty belongings and walked out of the room. Seeing James standing alone at the doorstep I kept my things in the car and tured to look at him, I then asked " did you ever mean all the things you said to me that night"? tears finally rolled down my face and my eyes were red Hands in his pocket James wanted to talk but at the split moment he held back and sniffed almost silently but I noticed Turning without saying a word he went inside and shut the door violently Smiling sadly and finally accepting defeat I entered the car and drove straight to the hospital "miss Jane " was all that rang in my headBack at Corey's mansion, the air was heavy. The chandeliers hung like silent witnesses, their crystals catching the late-afternoon light and fracturing it into thin, nervous shards. Corey sat up on his king-sized bed, shoulders rigid. Derrick stood like a shadow by his side, and Greyhem lounged on the couch opposite him, one leg thrown over the arm as if the room were still someone else’s show. Doc sat quietly, watching the way the men moved — cataloguing fear, loyalty, and the slow burn of plans being born. After a few minutes, Greyhem’s phone popped up with a ding sound. Everyone adjusted immediately and turned toward him. Unlocking the phone, his eyes ran round the screen for a few seconds and then they lit up.“Booyah… there we go,” he said, smiling.“What did you get?” Corey asked impatiently.“Hand the phone over already, Greyhem.” Corey’s voice rang out again.“Woah, woah hot-blooded human, take a chill pill,” Greyhem mocked Corey, and then turned to Derrick. “You, bring the la
“Go change into clean clothes and come downstairs for lunch, Maya,” James said. Maya pouted. “Okayyy, big brother.” She blew a kiss toward Janis’s tummy. “I’ll be right back in a jiffy, baby!” she said and ran upstairs, her footsteps thudding before her door slammed shut. James chuckled, shaking his head. “Her Maya,” he muttered, waving at the guard who’d been standing by since Maya arrived. The guard bowed and went outside, driving both cars into the garage beside the house. Janis finally sat down, eyes still exploring the glass walls. “Won’t people see us from outside?” she asked, her tone soft and innocent. “Of course not,” James said, smiling. “But we can see them from here. Top security measures.” “Oh.” Moments later, Maya came running back in, now in a clean white dress and shiny shoes. The three of them had a heartfelt lunch — James’s cooking filling the air wit
The drive was silent.Janis kept stealing glances at James behind the wheel of a sleek black Aston Martin DBX707, its scent of new leather mixing with the soft hum of power beneath her. James, aware of her gaze, only tightened his grip on the steering and reached across to lace his free hand over her smaller one.She stayed quiet until she noticed him take a right turn instead of the left — the turn that should’ve led back to the old apartment. Her brows furrowed. “Aren’t we going home? Why the right turn?”James smiled, eyes still on the road. “Of course, Jan-Jan… we’re going home. A new home.”The words hit her like a whisper from a dream. She blinked, staring out the window as they drove off the bustling streets into a quiet, opulent estate. The guards at the towering gate bowed the moment they saw the car, waving them through without question. Her heart thumped faster. This was the Peaches Estate. The same estate that only the richest of the rich could step foot in — celebrities,
The heavy doors of the dark mansion swung open. James walked in, his polished shoes clicking sharply against the marble floor — click, click, click — echoing through the silent hall like a countdown. His suit jacket hung open, unbuttoned down to the fourth button, revealing a white shirt loosened at the collar. His usually calm face was tight with worry. He didn’t spare a glance at the guards bowing as he passed, his steps unbroken, purposeful.Reaching the study, he pushed the door open without knocking. Vince sat behind his desk, speaking quietly with Bruno.James dropped the briefcase he’d been carrying onto the table with a thud.“Where is she?”Vince paused, eyes slowly lifting from Bruno to James, a slow smile curving his lips.“Well… welcome back to the country, CEO. And good afternoon to you, too,” he said, voice dripping with mock politeness.James exhaled sharply, running a hand through his slicked-back hair.“Yeah, my bad. Hi, boss.” He turned slightly toward Bruno, giving
Vince watched them carry Janis up the stairs, shoulders still taut with a dangerous impatience. He turned at last to the tall figure beside him, voice sharp. “I didn’t touch her thanks to you—now what are you standing there for?” The huge man exhaled slowly, not looking away from the stairs. “It isn’t Janis you have a thing against,” he said, voice even. “And per the deal—you return her to James in one piece.” Vince snorted, rolling his eyes. “Yeah, right. James.” The name tasted like sarcasm and old grudges. “I’ll make sure she’s safe,” the big man said, then turned and walked off without looking back. Some time later, after things had settled, the huge man pushed Janis’s door open. The room was small and dim; Janis lay curled on the side of the bed, the offered clothes discarded on the floor as if she’d flung them away in disgust. A tray of untouched food sat by the bedside. He stepped in and sighed quietly. His voice was low and careful when he spoke. “You should eat
The mansion gates burst open as the guards drove in, tires screeching against the stone. Derrick was already outside before the engine stopped. “Boss!” he shouted, rushing to the back seat. Corey was half-conscious, blood dripping down the side of his face, shirt torn from the crash. Without hesitation, Derrick crouched and lifted him onto his back despite the weight, his muscles straining but his grip firm. “Call the family doctor—now!” Derrick’s voice thundered across the yard as he carried Corey inside, each stride echoing panic through the halls. In his room, Derrick laid him on the bed, already barking orders. “Get the first aid box—now! We need to stop the bleeding before Doc gets here!” A guard sprinted away while another ran to bring clean clothes. Derrick tore away Corey’s bloodied shirt and began cleaning the wounds with disinfectant. His hands trembled; his eyes were red and wide with fear. He muttered under his breath, “Dammit… I should’ve gone with him…” Moments l
