Bradley's eyes dilated when he heard what Penny called the woman. He watched in fear, but just for a split second.

Penny quickly checked up on her mom. She tried to feel her pulse, but there was none. Her body was very cold too.

“Mom! Wake up!” She shouted, tears falling from her eyes. She was feeling terrified.

Bradley knelt beside her and looked at the woman. He did not need to check on her. He knew with a glance that she was dead.

“Help me, Brad. We have to get her to the hospital,” Penny said, crying. And she even tried to lift her up.

Bley held her up. “Penny…” he called. He didn't know what he was supposed to tell her.

“She could still be alive, right?” She asked, shivering.

Bradley pulled Penny into his arms and hugged her tightly. He just held her, even when she struggled against him. She still thought that there was hope for her mom.

He couldn't tell her that everything was okay because none was.
