Selene sat on the cold marble floor of the hallway for what felt like hours.

The thin silk nightgown offered no protection against the chill that had seeped into her bones. Her arms were wrapped tightly around her knees, and her forehead rested against them. Silent tears had long since stopped falling, she had none left. The only sound was her shaky breathing and the occasional distant echo of footsteps somewhere in the palace.

She kept replaying the scene in her mind.

The next morning, Selene woke up early. she didn’t want to stay in bed feeling sorry for herself. She got dressed in one of her simple gowns and left her big room. She went straight to the palace kitchen. The head cook and other maids were already busy preparing breakfast. When they saw her, they all stopped and bowed.“Good morning, Lady Selene,” they said.Selene shook her head. “Please, don’t call me that. I want to help today. I can’t clean anymore, but I can still cook. Let me work in the kitchen.”The maids looked at each other nervously. The head cook stepped forward. “My lady, you are the future Luna now. It is not proper for you to work here.”“I know,” Selene said quietly.“But I need to do something. Please. I won’t cause any trouble.” She said. They tried to refuse at first, but Selene stood her ground. She refused to leave. In the end, the maids gave up and let her stay.Selene rolled up her sleeves and took charge. She directed the maids on what to do. She chopped veget

  • THE ALPHA'S CURSED BRIDE    A Cruel Month

Selene walked slowly through the palace gardens, the hem of her expensive new gown brushing against the grass. Everywhere she went, maids and servants bowed deeply the moment they saw her.“Good morning, Lady Selene.” “Your Highness.” “May the Moon Goddess bless you.”Each bow, each respectful greeting felt like a knife twisting in her chest. She hated it. She hated the fake respect, the pity hidden behind their eyes, and the heavy title that now clung to her like chains. Just days ago, they had avoided her like a plague. Now they bowed as if she mattered. She found a quiet spot beneath a large apple tree and sat down heavily on the soft grass, leaning her back against the trunk. The leaves above her rustled gently in the breeze. For the first time since the wedding, she allowed herself to speak her true feelings out loud.“I just want to run away,” she whispered bitterly. “Far away from this palace, from this fake marriage, from everything. I never asked for any of this. I never

Every pulse of the bond felt like salt being rubbed into an open wound.Dawn eventually came. Soft golden light began filtering through the tall windows of the corridor. Selene slowly lifted her head. Her eyes were swollen and red, her face p

Before Kai could respond to him, Alpha Lysander and Luna Astra approached the table, both smiling warmly.“My son,” Lysander said proudly, placing a hand on Kai’s shoulder. “You have made us very happy today. Selene, welcome officially to our family. We are blessed to have you as our daughter.”Astra hugged Selene tightly once more. “You looked so beautiful walking down the aisle. I couldn’t be prouder.”Selene felt tears prick her eyes again. “Thank you… both of you. I promise I will do my best to be a good mate and future Luna.”The royal couple stayed for a few minutes, chatting warmly, before moving on to greet other guests. The moment they left, a maid approached Selene respectfully.“Lady Selene, it is time to prepare you for the night,” she said softly. “Please come with me.”Selene’s heart skipped a beat. She glanced at Kai, who gave her a small nod and a reassuring smile. She stood up, smoothing down her heavy wedding gown, and followed the maid out of the noisy ballroom. The

A few days later, the Silver Moon Palace was transformed into a breathtaking vision of white and silver. Thousands of flowers decorated the grand hall, and moonlight streamed through the tall crystal windows, bathing everything in an ethereal glow. It was the perfect setting for a royal werewolf wedding.Selene stood in front of the tall mirror in one of the luxurious dressing chambers, barely recognizing herself. The wedding gown was magnificent layers of flowing white silk and silver embroidery that shimmered like moonlight on water. A delicate crown of moonstones and white roses rested on her head, and her dark skin glowed against the pristine fabric. She looked every bit the royal bride. But her heart was a storm of emotions.“You look absolutely stunning, sister,” Elara said softly from behind her, placing gentle hands on Selene’s shoulders. Her voice was sweet, her smile warm and supportive the picture of a perfect, loving twin. “I’m so happy for you. Truly.”Selene met her sis

The carriage dropped Selene off at the front gates of her family’s estate just as the sun was beginning to set. She stepped down carefully, still wearing the beautiful emerald gown Kai had given her. Her heart felt light for the first time in years. A small, dreamy smile played on her lips as she touched the fabric of her dress, remembering how Kai had held her hand in public and proposed to her by the lake. For once, she allowed herself to hope. But the moment she stepped into the main hall of the family castle, that hope shattered. Her mother, Lady Victoria, was already waiting for her. The woman’s face was twisted with fury. Before Selene could even greet her, Victoria stormed forward and delivered a sharp, stinging slap across her daughter’s face.Selene gasped, stumbling backward.
