Valerie (Had to change my fl name to Valerie)

Flashback

It's a full moon festival,wolfs who are of age are happy tonight because they would be meeting their fated mates , unlike me who's just seventeen, hopefully by next year I would meet mine.

Is that ever going to be possible when I have no wolf,my heart cringes when I remember I'm seventeen yet there's no trace of my wolf, nobody would like to be mated to a wolfless omega,I would be rejected without thinking twice.

I had just finished watching the full moon with the princess who's also seventeen,the Luna has requested for her,so we decided to call it a night.

She's my only friend in the pack and my soul sister,we have been friends from infant, probably because my father is the beta, second in command of the pack.

I know my mom must have missed me so much,I can't wait to have her dinner. Her food has always been my favorite.

A dark scent hit my nose as I approached our chambers,my heart skipped a beat as I fastened my pace toward our chambers.

“The pack has been attacked!!!”. A pack member announced,I ran inside our chambers to ensure my parent's safety,but the room was empty sending cold shiver down my spine.

My parents never leave the house at night, unless they were called by the alpha.

“I hope so”. I muttered to myself as I walked out of the chambers with trembling legs,the pack members were running helter skelter to protect themselves from the sudden attack.

Mothers were running with their children,while the men were armed scanning the pack house.

A dark scent kept on traveling through the air, making me to feel uneasy, someone's eyes caught my attention which made me avert my gaze sharply.

He's not from our pack, obviously an intruder.

He was holding someone mercilessly in his hands,blood was dripping from his head and chest,while a feminine figure was lying lifeless beside them.

The cloth that has been bathed in blood belonged to someone I know.

My father.

“Nooooooo”. I screamed in agony as I run toward the direction where I had seen the scarry eyes,but he's gone.

My parents,were lying in a pool of blood on the floor. My dad's breath was shallow,a sword was pierced through his chest leaving a visible hole on his chest,it was obvious the murderer has pulled his heart out.

“Father!!!”. I screamed as I cradled his head to my lap,he was smiling sadly at me,breaking my heart into thousand pieces. The thought of losing both parents made my heart clench.

“Father no!!. Don't leave me. Please”. I sobbed,placing my hands on his chest to stop the blood that kept on spurting out from the hole on his chest,I know I will lose him. His heart is gone.

He held his bloody hands into mine,his hands are clammy cold making my breath shudder.

“Father pleasee…. don't leave me”. I placed his bloody hands on my chest,to calm my thundering heart, it's getting colder,I'm losing.

“Pro….tect….the…prin…cess….with….your…life”.His voice was barely above a whisper,I shook my head negatively refusing to let him go.

“No dad!!. Please stay with me”. I looked at mom,whose body was lying lifeless on the ground,tears kept on spilling from my eyes making my vision more blurry.

Thanks for the full moon,that illuminated the darkness,I was able to see their figure.

“Mom is gone”. I sobbed, kissing my father's hands which have gotten more cold than before!.

I crawled to where mom laid,her whole body had gone cold with her eyes shut. I brushed away the tears that kept on spilling from my eyes,with shivering hands,I cupped her cheeks and placed a kiss on her forehead.

It cringes so much, leaving me alone in such a cold pack.

They were the only people that loved me unconditionally,I have been grateful to the moon goddess for having them both as my parents.

“You'll be a fine little wolf”. A voice said, startling me but I refused to look at him,I have always known his voice.

My Claven.

I ignored him as I placed my head on my mom's chest, sobbing with a heavy heart.

“Little wolf”. His voice was barely above a whisper as he approached me.

“My parents are gone”. I blurted out the most heaviest words, leaving a bitter taste in my mouth.

“You'll be fine,you need to get some rest”.

Silence.

“Their bodies will be taken care of”. He persuaded me, crouching beside me.

I refused to look at his hazel green eyes,I wanted to be left alone.

“I want to stay with my parents”. I replied amidst tears, placing another kiss on my mom's forehead.

I wished this was a nightmare I would wake up from,but it wasn't. I have lost my favorites.

“Little wolf”. He gripped my wrist, yanking me away from mom.I wanted to fight him,to tell him I won't leave without my parents,but I couldn't.

He pulled me to his chest, raking my hair with his fingers.

My tears kept on falling profusely even when I tried to fight it.

I got intoxicated by his scent,he smelt like home…. vanilla mixed with sandwich,I wished I could stay in his arms forever…..Claven and my princess are the only people I have left.

I sobbed harder, sniffling as I pulled away from his chest when I heard approaching footsteps,and they had come to take my parents' bodies away.

I charged towards them with blurry eyes but Claven was fast enough to get hold of me,he wrapped me in his arms making me turn my back on them.

I fought him, trying to pull away from his tight grip but I couldn't.

By the time he let go of me,my parents bodies had disappeared,I slumped on the floor shivering vigorously as I clutched my legs to my chest with legs buried in between.

I heard a retreating footsteps, Claven is going away.

A sudden wave of energy washed over me, making me stand on my feet abruptly.I exhaled deeply, dusting off the dust that had stuck to my flay gown.

“I'll avenge your death, mom and dad,I will make those involved go on their knees before me while I serve their bodies to the wild rogues”. I said,determined,my eyes blazing as I gritted my teeth in resentment.
