‘’Yes I am, Alpha Lawson.’’ I reply, not shying away from the scrutinizing gazes. I was prepared to be called out at some point since I was invited to this joint dinner.

‘’Hm.’’ Alpha Lawson stares, and I hold his judging gaze, not backing down even for a moment. Jared was representing the Northern moon pack, but I was representing Lucian.

His future as an Alpha was permanent and as his mother, I should never come out as a weak person.

‘’I see Gareth spoke the truth.’’ He breaks the tensed silence and lowers his gaze to his plate. ‘’At least, you are not embarrassing the name of your pack unlike your Alpha and his choice of Luna.’’
