chapter 4

THE REAL QUEEN braked hard as the man swerved his car into her path leveling a double barrel shotgun on her.

he released the first two shots which she dodge but she didn't see the third and fourth as the suno into her shoulder, she let go of the bike handle and the crashed on the floor.

the boy picked himself up and hopped on his bike happy to have his freedom back but the man reversed and start driving towards the woman.

noticing what was about to happen the boy came to THE REAL QUEEN'S aid.

he helped her into the back of his bike and hopped on driving off as the man fired shots after shots at their back cursing.

she got away... AGAIN!!!

ASHLEY

I ran into the bush with Gunner and Susan chasing after me, there might be another person with them whom I have not perceived their scent before. It was a flavory scent of aloe vera and lavender with a hint of blueberries, my nose twitched in delight as more of the heavenly scent hit my nose. Blueberries was my favorite food. I turned up my nose in want needing more of that scent, my wolf took over me for a moment and howled into the night.

The sound of howling could be heard as other wolves joined in the delightful howl of joy, though, I was supposed to be angry at my wolf for howling but I found myself enjoying the sound of the wolves. I turned to go back only to come face to face with no other person than the almighty soon to be alpha Kyle.

"Why are you following me, " I tried to say but the only sound that came out of my wolfy lips was the sound of an animal. But Kyle seems to be understanding the sound as he replied to me.

"Can we talk? I only did what I did because I was young and stupid, I didn't know the implications of what I was doing, please, I promise I would be a good guy for you, I will change for the better," his expression was that of sincerity and honesty 'he might have changed let's give him a chance,' My wolf said happily wanting nothing more than to just jump into his opened arms.

' I will think about it but... I want to do the thinking on my own with no disturbance from you." I said and turned to walk away as I sensed my sister and best friend running towards us. Kyle made the mistake of coming up and pulling me into a tight hug.

I struggled and tried to break free from his arms but he was so strong, instead of loosening his grips on my waist his hands tightened more. I groaned as I snapped a mental picture of how we were looking right now, a she Wolf standing in her four legs as a human being straddled her waist.

I shook myself out of his arms and attacked him with my claw, glaring daggers down at where he was lying whimpering, my wolf nagged and struggled to be let out of her cage, she wants to pamper him like our baby but I wouldn't let that happen, over my dead body.

I turned after matching down on his right hand with my paw, I took off running into the, my mind racing as my wolf created a mental moment that was never going to happen in my mind.

Me and Kyle in the garden of the palace and our little wolf pups running around the garden with their four short legs, I grinned at the thought.

" Ashley wait up! Ash! stop running let's talk this thing out!" Susan's voice jolted me out of my river of fantasy and dumped me back into my body. I stopped as I reached the down slop and turned to look at my friends.

"I thought you will never stop, " Gunner said stopping and catching his breathe, he seemed so exhausted but I wasn't, I was a trained Hunter so why would be exhausted at such little race. Though I was among my our pack's best Hunter and warrior but my dad was not really cool without the idea of a woman being among the warriors but the alpha Alphonso was cool with it.

"I need to be alone," I said through the mind link but they couldn't hear me because I was still in my wolf form.

" Wait up, let me get you covered, " Susan said running towards me with a white blanket spread to cover my little wolf body.

I shifted, pain shooting through my veins as my body reshaped and my bone shattered into pieces to form a another shape. I clutched the blanket tightly as I stood up on my two human legs.

"Stop running away from him, he is our only family." My wolf said resent me for hitting our mate, I raised my eyebrows at the coldness of her tone.

" You don't know what he did to me," I said to her, "we really need to be alone and talk, get to know each other better you know," I was referring to my wolf who was adamant about not being in the arms of our mate.

"Let's go talk over there." I threw myself up into the sky and caught a tree branch letting the blanket fall out from my body, Susan went to pick it up but I told her not to.

" Leave it there, I will be needing it when coming back to the pack-house," I said and swung my naked flawless body into another branch, Gunner was looking so worried, I felt like going back and tell him that I am ok and he should not worry about me.

"Don't stay too long, I will be waiting for you here." Gunner said, I turned to glare at him unconsciously letting go of the branch and tumbling down the hill.

" Ashley!!!" Susan yelled out for me. "Shift." She commanded but I was too focused on not landing on the ground to hear her. I reached for the nearest branch attempting to catch it but it slipped out of my grip and I landed on the ground.

"Ouch! This is quite painful," if I wasn't a supernatural being i was sure I'd be dead by now.

" Are you alright," Kyle scurried down to where I landed groaning and started searching my body for wounds. " I think you are good, unless you got an internal injury," he said running his fingers all over my face for any inconveniences, his hands were soft and warm but I knew he wasn't weak instead it was the other way round, he strong.

I looked up as he leaned his face towards mine, his lips slightly parted his eyes darted to my lips, my heart pounding in my chest as I tried to process what was about to happen.

' he was going to kiss us,' my wolf whispered, he was still leaning in so I closed my eyes and he...
