Chapter Eighteen

Keirah's heartbeat rate has raised too high, that I can hear it. Her body temperature raised. Almost burning off my skin where I am holding her hands. Sweat is dripping on each pole of her skin. Breathing heavily through her nostrils.

Her chest is rising higher and higher every time. All the signs of a dying person in pain are visible for me to see.

I was late. I shouldn't have hesitated.

I can't stop blaming myself as I watch her. I hold on to her too tight. Her legs struggle for balance. She cannot hold anything anymore. Her eyes are traveling with speed.

Then my phone rings again, and I thank God, jumping out and letting go of her hand to call for help.

I am shaking as I search from one angle to another through my torn pieces of clothes scattered around for my phone.

I need James to rush here and help Keirah.

“AAAAAGHHH AAAAGHHH” Keirah makes a painfully loud noise. And I turn to watch her as she screams so loud in pain.

Unfortunately, she loses movement after the last noise
