ELENA

Papà had made it clear—we were expected at tonight’s dinner meeting. I would have protested, but I knew better. No one went against his word.

“Do you have any idea who they are?” I asked Alessia as we stood side by side in the bathroom, getting ready.

She shook her head. “No clue. But whoever he is, papà doesn’t want us screwing this up. This might be our only chance at survival.”

“Hmm. I still don’t want to be there. I’d rather be watching TV. These meetings bore me to death.”

“We don’t have a choice, Lena.” Alessia shot me a look. “Now let’s go. Everyone’s already gathered.”

With a sigh, I followed her out. But as we approached the dining hall, I stopped mid-step. My breath hitched, my pulse spiking in an instant. Alessia turned, brows furrowed.

“Something wrong?”

“I’m in big trouble,” I muttered through clenched teeth.

The man seated at the table—the one my Papà wanted to strike a deal with—was none other than my one-night stand.

Panic clawed at my chest. Did they know about us? Was that why we were here? Was this whole dinner just an elaborate setup to expose me?

Alessia followed my gaze, and the moment realization dawned, her jaw tightened. Slowly, she turned back to me.

“You have the worst fucking karma,” she whispered. “Don’t make it obvious. You can’t let him know he affects you.”

“But he does affect me,” I snapped back.

“Then don’t show it,” she hissed.

I inhaled deeply, gathering what little courage I had left, and forced my feet to move.

My bad luck continued—I was seated directly across from him.

Papà introduced us, and I plastered on a smile, pretending I wanted to be nowhere else but here.

“You have such beautiful daughters,” he mused, his voice laced with sarcasm. “Never seen them around. Almost like you’ve been keeping them hidden.”

My sharp glare warned him to drop it, but something told me he wasn’t the kind of man who played by others’ rules.

Dinner commenced, but I barely tasted the food. The conversation blurred into the background as I remained acutely aware of his presence across from me. Every glance, every subtle smirk—it made my skin prickle with frustration. And something else I wasn’t willing to name.

The meeting wasn’t going well; that much was clear from the displeased look on Father’s face.

“What a small world,” Alessia murmured beside me.

I followed her gaze. Lorenzo. Her secret lover.

“Who would have thought my man works under him?” she muttered.

I shook my head. “Tell me about it.”

Alessia had been sneaking around with Lorenzo for five months now—risky, considering relationships like theirs were forbidden. Heiresses weren’t supposed to lower themselves. She was playing with fire, and she knew it. But she didn’t care.

“You’re practically eye-fucking him,” I deadpanned. “Get a room or something.”

I turned my attention back to him, only to find his eyes already on me.

I needed to get out of here.

Pushing back my chair, I excused myself, claiming I needed the restroom. But really, I just needed air.

Stepping outside to the back of the house, I leaned against the wall and pulled out a cigarette. I hesitated. Papà didn’t know I smoked. And tonight was already bad enough. With a sigh, I shoved it back into the pack.

I just wanted this night to end.

“Running away again?”

The deep voice sent a shiver down my spine.

I turned slowly.

He stood there, watching me with that infuriatingly smug expression.

“What are you doing here?” I asked, my voice carefully measured.

He took a step forward. “I should be asking you that. Shouldn’t you be at the table?”

“I mean here, in my house. Did you follow me?”

“I’ll admit, I looked for you. But seeing you here? That was just… luck.”

“Why were you looking for me?”

His gaze darkened. “Because you left. And no one ever leaves me.”

I swallowed hard. “That’s your problem. Can we just pretend it never happened? The last thing I need is for my Papà to find out.”

“Why?” He moved closer, until my back met the wall.

“You don’t want him to know his sweet little daughter has secrets?” His voice dropped, teasing and dangerous. “That she took my cock so well in her mouth?”

I flinched. “Stop it,” I hissed, darting a glance around. If anyone heard him—

“What will you do to make me keep quiet?”

I met his gaze, forcing myself to stay firm. “I’ll do anything. Just leave me alone.”

A slow smirk curved his lips. “Instead of talking, why don’t you put that pretty mouth to good use?”

I stiffened. “I can’t do that.”

“That night was a mistake. I’m not doing it again.”

His fingers grazed my wrist, trailing upward until he pinned my hands against the wall.

“But it wasn’t a mistake for me,” he murmured. “All week, all I’ve thought about is you.” His breath ghosted over my skin. “I want to fuck you so bad, I can’t think straight”

His words hit me hard and I felt my nipple harden. This is not the right time for this, he seemed to notice it because he reached for it and pinched it a moan escaping from my mouth.

“You like this hmm?” He asked as he dragged his hands over them, then down until he was at the band of my shorts.

“Don’t”

But he did anyways

His hands traced the fabrics of my panties which were soaked wet.

“You said you don’t want this but your body says otherwise”

He pushed my panties aside

“Open up for me”

And so I did

“His fingers brushed against my clit and I sucked in a breath. He started fingering me slowly and I fought the urge to let out a loud moan.

This was wrong, my Family was just over there and here I was getting finger fucked by a man i should hate.

He pushed one finger inside me and then the second one and he continuously fucked me until I felt the orgasm building up. I came with a loud cry

After he was done, he looked deep into my eyes, brought his fingers to his mouth and sucked them then with one last look he left me there panting heavily.

ALESSANDRO I listened or at least tried to as Mr. Rossi went into stories about his business and how it grew to what it is now. Rossi is the CEO of the most successful jewelry company in Milan. His rags-to-riches story is one I could recite word for word, given how many times I’ve heard it. So has everyone else in the business world. He’s a good and respectable man, which is why I try my best to pay attention, but my mind was elsewhere—particularly on someone.I haven’t seen Elena since after the kiss. Knowing her, she’s probably in some corner hiding away from embarrassment. I wouldn’t be so worried if Victor wasn’t here too.“Would you like to hear about my journey to the Philippines?” Rossi asked eagerly, waiting for a positive reply.“That won’t be necessary,” I replied. His smile dropped. “You don’t?”“I mean, I wouldn’t mind but I have to find my wife.”His smile returned. “Of course you do. Newlyweds… when my wife and I got married, I wouldn’t want her out of my sight—”He jus

ELENAAlessandro made a satisfying sound when my lips landed on his. I had forgotten how soft they were. I gave him a quick peck on the lips and tried to move away, but he pulled me closer to himself.“What are you doing?” I seethed through clenched teeth. He shrugged. “We aren’t done here.”“But I am.”“No, you’re not. I said kiss, not that chaste peck on the lips.”Before I could reply, his lips came crashing down on mine. I sucked in a sharp breath as he used his tongue to guide my mouth open. I slightly parted my lips, and he slipped his tongue inside. The world around us blurred into quietness; the only thing that mattered in that moment was the way his mouth was sucking and savoring my every breath. And I hated the way I was enjoying this.I felt a dull ache low in my belly, and I knew it was time to wrap it up before I did something stupid like grinding my body against his in public.Someone cleared their throat. Alessandro sighed before pushing me away softly. My eyes landed o

ELENA“Thank you,” I mumbled to the stranger only to turn and find a grinning Alex staring at me.I blinked. “What are you doing here?”“My parents were invited, so I tagged along,” he replied, looking so good in his tuxedo.I nodded, trying to steady myself. “Well..have a great night.”I tried to leave but he caught my arm gently.“Wait..one glass?”I shook my head. “I’ve had enough of that. Any other glass will get me drunk.”He pinched the bridge of his nose. “We can dance, at least?” His eyes pleaded.“I don’t think that’s right.”“Please,” he pushed on.I looked around the party. No one was going to notice anyway, and my so-called husband was talking to another woman.I was lonely and bored. One harmless dance didn’t sound bad at all.“Okay,” my voice was low, “just one dance.”“Yes!” He fisted the air, and I couldn’t help but laugh. He took my hand and led me to the floor. We found space between two couples and started swaying to the beat of the music. His hands rested on my wai

ELENAI thanked the stars when Luisa pulled me out of my parents’ scrutiny.I wasn’t ready to listen to Mamma make comments about my body.I snatched another glass of wine from the server, having emptied the last one.Luisa and Alessia eyed me suspiciously, making sure I wasn’t getting myself drunk. I was still sober—for now.We were at the corner where a makeshift bar had been created, chatting about high society.“And that woman over there,” Alessia nodded to a woman.I stylishly tipped my head to have a look. The woman in question was dressed in a tight red dress. She should be in her forties but could pass off as thirty.“What about her?” Luisa and I said in unison as we dragged our eyes from her, where she was pressed against an older man, who I presumed was her husband.Only explains why they’re sandwiched together and looking like they might need a room.“That’s her fourth husband,” she whispered close enough that no one else could hear.My eyes widened. “What?”She nodded slow

ALESSANDRO I winked at Elena as I extended my hand for her to take. She rolled her eyes subtly, in a way the crowd cheering for us and the paparazzi snapping countless photos wouldn’t notice. She hesitated for a moment before placing her slender hand in mine. I clasped our hands together and pulled her out of the car.“Mr. and Mrs. DeLuca, over here!” cameras flashed at us as the shots began. After a minute, I was done with it. I looked at Elena to see if she was ready to go in. She nodded, and we went inside. The paparazzi weren’t allowed into the party, which was for the best. If someone were to follow me around taking shots all night, I’m quite sure they’d witness me blowing up or doing some shit I wouldn’t want ending up in the media. The party was in full swing when we got in. Elena quietly removed her hand from my elbow, where it had been tucked in.“Glad you made it,” Mr. Moretti said, scanning us up and down. His eyes swerved to his daughter, though I wasn’t sure why he looke

ELENAI let out an exasperated breath and stared at Alessia through my phone.Tonight was the party Papà had planned, and all the clothes I had picked didn’t seem to fit in. There was always something wrong with them, either I didn’t like the way I looked in them, or they weren’t exactly what I was going for.At this point, I was done and ready to call it a night. But knowing who Papà is, he would come here and drag me out. God forbid his daughter doesn’t attend the party he threw.“I’ve told you, all these are amazing,” Alessia said, equally frustrated by my indecisiveness. We’d been at this for close to an hour, and I knew I should free her.“You know you don’t have to do this with me,” I said, picking up the phone. Her face covered my whole screen.Behind her, I could see the dress she had picked out. She had bought it in Paris.“I know,” she mumbled, “but I still want to be here. You need to be sure Papà doesn’t chase you back home to change,” she joked, but I knew she was serious.
