Miles POV

The telephone won’t stop ringing so I was forced to open my eyes.

I went to bed very late last night. I had stayed up almost all night to read the article about body swaps.

I turned to my right and subconsciously guided my hand toward the table strapped to the bed. I reached for the telephone, yanked it, and placed it on my left ear with my eyes barely open.

“Good morning boss. I trust you slept well.”

Who the hell is this? I wanted to fire back. I then realized that the voice was Henry’s.

I was in the penthouse, in Grayham’s body which meant that I had to live like him. Luckily, I had managed to get my hands on something last night so I had hope that this would be sorted out soon.

I missed the comfort the Kaden house brought.

“You said you were going to bring the report. Are you here yet?” I threw the question at Henry.

Even if he had shown up with the report, I still wouldn’t know what to do with it but I asked anyway to keep the conversation going.

  • THE SWITCH: 100 DAYS OF ME AND YOU    IGNITE THE FIRE

Grayham’s POVI positioned my hands on my hips and stared at the wall clock. I still can’t believe that I made it past the day or perhaps made it halfway. It was quarter past 1pm and I was yet to get a message from Miles and neither did I message him. In my defense, I had a lot in my hands. Perhaps he was waiting for me to text him first. Well, Unlike him, I have been so damn busy while he was probably having fun in my family villa. This morning, his dad and I went to the beach where a group of young boys were playing a football match as part of the sports festival. Nearly the whole community showed up as spectators and they had forced me to serve as a referee. On the other side of the beach, a handful of young women played volleyball while a bunch of elderly people just sat there talking.Such an idle community.I got dragged into different activities at the beach and I almost lost it. Looks like Miles plays a major role here because they wanted me to get him involved in everything.

  • THE SWITCH: 100 DAYS OF ME AND YOU    POSH LIFE

Miles POVImmediately after breakfast, I excused myself from the table. I had one of the male servants lead me to Grayham’s room which was now my room I guess. When I entered Grayham’s room, I was fascinated. Just when I thought that the master bedroom in his penthouse was a hit, his room at the villa was a total showdown.Grayham had a walk-in closet that housed branded clothes. His shoe game was elite and he had stocked them up neatly with sneakers on one end, boots on the other, and office shoes on one side. The room exudes subtle ego, luxury, and style. It was spacious and occupied the top floor of the mansion. I noticed a sleek control tablet on the bed which was used to control the automated black-out curtains.I caught a glimpse of the designer lamp beside the reading nook. The king-size bed was draped with the finest sheets and I couldn’t resist the temptation to touch it. Two plush pillows were lying on the bed. There was a media wall opposite the bed with a massive screen. N

  • THE SWITCH: 100 DAYS OF ME AND YOU    WHAT GALA?

Miles POV“We’re here,” Sam announced the moment he pulled the car toward a mansion. That morning, he had come to get me from the Penthouse. Grayham was right about his grandpa. The old man had been blowing up the telephone at the penthouse to ask when I was going to return to the family house. The automatic gates flung open and Sam drove into the house. In the few days that I’ve known Sam, I noticed that he barely speaks to me except he needed to say something important like whether he could start the car or announce our arrival.I sat up and cleared my throat loudly. This was the moment I feared the most.I was meeting Grayham’s family or perhaps, just his grandpa.Last night, I had googled Grayham Wilson and interestingly, there was barely any family to meet apart from his grandpa. His parents perished tragically. I also learned that he was estranged with his step-sister so apart from his grandpa and the domestic staff, there was no one else to meet. The car windows were tinted and

  • THE SWITCH: 100 DAYS OF ME AND YOU    COMMUNITY

Grayham POVFor the first time since the incident, I felt a sense of calmness starting to envelop me. Miles said he could get us to see the author which meant that we were getting somewhere.I folded my arms across my chest. “Did you book an appointment or what? You’re sure we could meet him tomorrow?”I watched Miles stroll to the counter then he began to feel the countertop with the back of his hand as if it were a valuable possession. He must have missed this place while I was stuck here, dying to get out.He turned to me after resting his body on the counter. “I got his email address. It was attached to the article and I sent him an SOS email.”“SOS email!” I spat with a sneer.“I’m not an illiterate.” Miles fired back.“Okay,” I replied. “Carry on.” I was now tapping my left leg impatiently.“He sent me a reply a while ago saying we could meet him tomorrow night. I had highlighted our situation.”I sighed. “Where do we see him tomorrow night?”Miles didn’t respond. He slipped his

Miles POVBaxter adjusted his black tie and then took off his shades. I caught a clearer glimpse at him. He was a middle-aged man with dark brown eyes. He glanced at his wrist watch then turned to me.“You have 10 minutes.”“You told my assistant I had 20.” I retorted. He flashed a sinister smile. “Well, I changed my mind. What do you want from me, boy? I have a plane to catch and you better impress me.Boy? I must admit that I felt small.“I was involved in an accident a month ago. I’m sure you must have heard it in the news. I came out of a coma just 2 days ago so I didn’t have much time to prepare for this meeting. I can’t even figure out where I kept my proposal but I think we can just get on with this.” I said, trying to keep the pitch of my voice running smoothly. The look Henry gave me proved that I had last the plot.Baxter looked me straight in the face and said. “You don’t look prepared. I don’t sit around tables discussing short-end proposals.”The other people in the room

  • THE SWITCH: 100 DAYS OF ME AND YOU    A NIGHT IN A SHIT HOLE

Grayham’s POV“Fuck!” I muttered under my breath when my eyes opened and met the rotten ceiling above me.I can’t believe I spent the night in this shit hole. It’s been hell and I should write a book about the traumatic experience the moment I get out of this mess.Immediately after I walked out on Miles last night, I headed upstairs and eased myself onto the stinky bed, speaking of stinky, why am I still lying here?I sat up in a frenzy and rubbed my eyes vigorously with my palms. My routine involves waking up at 6 am, hitting my private gym for an hour then turning up by 7 am for my cup of coffee. I’ll take a shower, check my morning brief, have breakfast with Grandpa, and leave for the office by 8am.But things have changed now.I glanced at the old clock hooked to the wall and I nearly gasped. It was 10 am. I don’t normally wake up this late.Fucking 10 am and I’m still stuck in this wretched body, staying in a place that deserves to be graded to the floor while my new company is

  • THE SWITCH: 100 DAYS OF ME AND YOU    DAD'S STORY

Miles POVI looked at Grayham with widened eyes that wanted to pop out of their sockets. “What do you mean by the house is cursed?”He sounded so silly that I wanted to burst out laughing.Grayham sighed and pulled out the chair beside him. He sat and began to hit the tabletop impatiently.“Do you think I’m lying? Your pops told me the story before he fell asleep.” He stopped hitting the table.I immediately pulled out the chair facing him and sat. I know he’s a pompous good for nothing rich guy but I didn’t know he was stupid too.“You’re making up this story,” I said. “There’s no way an old lady visited my dad with that shitty legend. You just want a narrative about this so badly.” I eased comfortably on the chair. “And how’s it possible that I never heard this story from my dad?”He flashed a mocking smile. “Well, I heard it tonight.”“You’ve been here for barely 24 hours and you’re already making up conversations with my dad in your head,” I said, ensuring my voice stayed low so I

  • THE SWITCH: 100 DAYS OF ME AND YOU    LET'S FIX THIS

Grayham’s POVI sat up almost immediately. “Did you say mysterious legend?” I turned to the old man with my lashes flickering with anxiety. He nodded repeatedly and stared at the distance leading to the staircase while his eyes shone through the night.“You remember I told you how I found this place right?” He began.I swallowed. “Yeah,” I responded, hoping he doesn’t ask me to patch up the story because I had no idea how he and his son found this place. All that matters is that the place is mine and I’ll have it soon.“A year after your mother and I started living here, an old woman came to this place to speak with us. She was old and weary. She was over a hundred and had this walking stick.” He chuckled and shook his head. “May her soul rest in peace.”I was growing impatient, wishing he could skip the part about the old woman and tell me about the legend. Perhaps, it could somehow point to what was happening between me and Miles.“Was she the one who told you about the legend of th
