Alaric's pov.

I held the side of her head with the palm of my hand, “Father this isn't right, she's nobody and does not have any suggestion of your suspicion whatsoever,” I pleaded with my father as this was getting out of hand.

My father didn't say anything more as I ordered the guard behind her to step back.

I might have rejected her but that doesn't mean I would just let her die, we were still connected one way.

“There's nothing here Father,” I tried to reason with him once more, I knew all this was a sham before it started, there was nothing wrong with the girl and Emily had made the whole thing up.

My father didn't say anything much and then walked out of the room, before he passed by Emily, he made sure to give her a very careful look which seemed to have made Emily quite afraid as she shrank back into herself and then my father left.

My eyes locked with Emily's, I didn't want to see her anywhere close by at the moment and she knew this too which is why she f
