LOGINInnessa stared at her reflection in the mirror. She looked beautiful. The light, natural makeup looked so good on her. Her long hair cascaded down her back in waves as she donned a gorgeous white gown that made her look like a princess from a fairytale.
The door was knocked twice before it was opened, and Harper stepped inside, donning a beautiful blue dress with silver diamonds. She looked ethereal.
Harper beamed at Innessa as she stared at her in awe. " You look so beautiful," Harper praised her as she stepped closer, holding Innessa's hands in awe.
"My son is so lucky," Harper said and her eyes turned misty. "I always wanted a daughter like you," Harper said as Innessa pulled the woman in a gentle hug.
"I'm your daughter, the one you always wanted, Mom," Innessa said softly and Harper couldn't stop the tears as they brimmed her eyes. Pulling back, she retrieved a diamond ring from her finger, holding Innessa's hand she put the ring on her index finger. "My mother-in-law gave it to me on the day I got married and today I'm giving it to my daughter," Harper said smiling with misty eyes. Innessa got emotional because Harper just called her daughter rather than her daughter-in-law.
The door knocked and it opened to reveal William Knight. His dark cognac eyes were the same as Issac's but Issac's eyes were darker and sharper than his dad's. William had sharp features and a rugged appearance but Innessa had noticed how soft he was around his wife.
When Issac took her to his home for the very first time. Harper greeted her with so much love and excitement while William remained observant for some time before he relaxed and got comfortable with her. William did mention what Innessa saw in his son. He was quick to note that the girl had morals and was pious and gentle, unlike his son. So he was wondering how Issac wooed her because William knew how hard it was to get a good girl like Harper. You've to work hard to win her. But then again Issac was William's son. Of course, he worked hard and pulled Innessa.
"You look stunning," William praised her as she smiled at him.
"I still wonder what you saw in my son," William said thoughtfully as Harper playfully slapped his arm. "Honey, stop it," Harper said as he smiled at his wife, kissing her temple gently.
"We'll be out, the guests are arriving, and my son is desperate to see you," Harper mused, making Innessa blush as they both stepped out of the room leaving her alone.
Barely a couple of minutes passed before the door opened again. She expected it to be her mom but to her surprise, her eyes met with the dark cognac eyes which were stunned at the sight of her and as his gaze lingered down her body, his gaze softened causing her heart to beat wildly. Issac closed the door behind him and locked it with ease as his eyes met hers.
The swirl of emotions in his eyes made her heart flutter as she lowered her gaze. "You're not supposed to be here-" She was saying as her breath hitched when Issac was on her in an instant, he wrapped his arm around her waist and pulled her flush to his chest as he breathed in deeply.
"You look like a dream," He rasped dreamily, his soft eyes gazed at her with so much love that she couldn't meet his gaze. She was extremely shy. For the past two months, her mother and Harper had strictly stopped them from meeting each other. Though Issac did sneak into her room one night only to get caught by Alisa and ever since that night Alisa stayed with Innessa and didn't let them see each other once. According to Alisa, this will bring more joy to the day they get married.
Joy was the last thing he felt. For the past few days, he was frustrated and beyond irritated because he couldn't get to see his precious. If the ban on meeting wasn't enough Innessa wouldn't even FaceTime him saying they should follow the rules.
He waited patiently because that was all he could do but not anymore. He sneaked into her room the fifth chance he got because no one would leave her the f*ck alone and now as he stood in front of her. It was worth it.
Innessa looked so breathtakingly beautiful that he couldn't look away. The girl lowered her gaze shyly and swore to God he was a goner. The girl had no idea the power she held on him. Issac was weak on his knees for her.
He gently kissed her shoulder and inhaled her sweet scent. She smelled like the fresh breeze of his last breath on earth. So f*cking alluring and daringly dangerous.
He pulled back, staring at his divinely beautiful woman. She had no idea how dangerous she was for him. He could die for her. Issac would blindly massacre the world for her but she wouldn't let him though.
He gently cupped her cheek raising her face so she would look at him. The girl barely met his gaze before she lowered her gaze.
Oh her sweet innocence would be the death of him.
"I missed you so damn much," He grumbled and the girl sheepishly smiled. Squirming to get out of his hold.
"I missed you too," She whispered in a small voice as he leaned forward for a kiss but she placed her hand on his lips stopping him from kissing her.
"Not yet," She said in a small voice and he inched back, staring at her.
Little did she know the more she starved the beast the more he'll be hungry for her. Issac softly kissed her warm cheek and pulled back.
Grabbing both of her hands he kissed them one by one. "I can't wait to make you my wife in front of everyone," He rasped, giving a gentle squeeze to her hands before he hurried out of the room without getting caught by anyone.
Denis walked his daughter down the aisle with his heart full of emotions and sadness yet he was happy because his daughter was glowing. She was happy.
Issac couldn't hold in the softness of his eyes as he gazed at his precious walking towards him. He stepped forward as Denis placed her hand in his.
Issac helped Innessa in front of the altar as they stood in front of their friends and family, hand in hand.
The whole world was blurred out for them as they gazed at each other with so much love and joy. Issac waited for the moment and when the priest said you may kiss the bride. He didn't wait a single second as he pulled her in his strong arms and meshed his lips with hers in a passionate kiss. Claiming her in front of the whole world.
Innessa had to gently squeeze his bicep for him to stop and it took everything in him to break the kiss and pull back as he kissed her forehead and the crowd was already in cheers.
Harper and William along with Denis, Alisa, Faina, and Arthur were the first ones to congratulate them, and right after them came the girls. Darla, Scarlett, and Eli. They were the bride's maid and they were beaming at her.
Theodore and Maddox joined them congratulating the couple. "If you need any info regarding his past since the moment I was born you can contact me. You already have my number," Maddox mused winking at Innessa as Issac glared at him.
"You can always complain about him to me," Theo said making Issac frown at him as Innessa smiled.
Darla excused herself as she ambled away followed by everyone else except for Theo who walked to his parents talking to them.
Victor approached the couple but he wasn't alone. He had a beautiful girl on his side. She had the most beautiful electric blue eyes and she was small. She reached Victor's shoulders.
"Congratulations man," Victor said as he hugged Issac and the girl held out her hand for Innessa to shake. "Congratulations," She said in a small voice as Innessa shook her hand with a warm smile saying a small thank you.
Victor faced Innessa. "Meet my wife, Serena," Victor said and Innessa's eyes widened. She didn't know he was married. She quickly masked her expressions.
"It's lovely to meet you," Innessa said politely as the girl passed her a small smile. Victor placed his hand on her waist and Serena lowered her gaze, her body tensing as she avoided meeting Innessa's gaze again.
Issac eyed his friend who gave him a curt nod and said he'd be leaving because he had some urgent work to attend to. Issac nodded in understanding as Victor left.
"I didn't know he was married," Innessa said in a small voice.
"He just recently got married," Issac said as more guests came forward to congratulate the couple.
The music was light and soothing as Issac held her hand and guided her to the center for their dance. Issac pulled the girl closer causing her hands to land on his chest as he grabbed her waist possessively.
Issac moved to the tunes along with her as they gazed into each other's eyes. Innessa was shy and yet she didn't want to look away because she wanted to embrace this moment in her memory forever. They finally got married and this time with her consent and in front of the whole world.
Seeing so much love in her eyes for himself made his heart melt for her even more. Issac was on cloud nine. His body was buzzing with joy and excitement which was spilling out of him in smiles and winks for her.
"Did I tell you how breathtakingly beautiful you look tonight?" He asked. Though he had told her she looked beautiful in her room, she shook her head because it felt nice to hear it again and again. And the fact that the man she loved so much found her beautiful was so soothing to her heart.
"You look ravishing, precious." He rasped and leaned closer as his hot breath caressed her ear causing a shiver to run down her spine. "I want to eat you up," He rumbled lowly like a beast causing her to tremble as she pulled back slowly but he only jerked her closer. He kissed her cheek lovingly while smiling down at her but the dark glint in his eyes meant each word he said.
The evening passed agonizingly slow for him as everyone enjoyed themselves. What felt like ages but were barely a few hours. Issac was able to snatch his wife from the guests as they headed to his penthouse which he had decorated for her with his own hands.
As soon as the door opened. Innessa was greeted by a trail of roses and candles that led into their room. She stepped forward while holding his hand. The door closed behind them as Issac escorted her to their room.
Her lips parted in awe as she stared at the room which was decorated with deep red roses. It smelled like roses and the scented candles in the room made it smell even more good and not to forget Issac's scent.
"How does it look?" He asked, losing his tie as she admired the room.
"It's beautiful," She said and he nodded while staring at her.
"It is," He admitted but his eyes were set on her.
Innessa was so doused in the beauty of the room that she didn't even notice him approaching. Her breath hitched when he grabbed her waist. Everything happened in a fraction of a second as he swiveled her around, grabbing her nape he meshed his lips with hers in a hot searing kiss.
She kissed him back softly but his lips were demanding as he kissed her savagely devouring her. The girl broke the kiss with a gasp as she needed to breathe.
"I... I should change," She whispered, averting her gaze from him as she removed the veil from her hair and rested it aside.
Innessa ambled to the walk-in closet as she grabbed the clothes she wanted to change into.
She tried to make a beeline for the ensuite bathroom but before she could escape he circled her wrist and yanked her to him. Her frail body collided with his solid chest as she stumbled a step back but a sudden gasp left her lips as he snaked his arm around her waist and flushed her soft body against his hard muscular one. The clothes fell from her hands.
Issac could feel her soft swells and curves against him and it made the blood in his veins rush wildly.
Her toes were barely touching the ground with his possessive hold on her waist. Issac was huge and she was so small.
His hawk-like eyes bore holes in her profile as she refused to meet his gaze. Afraid she might drown in the depths of his love.
Issac inched closer, and the bridge of his nose caressed her temple. His hot raspy breath hit her cheek.
"I want you, precious. I'm at my limit," He rasped. His voice was a thick baritone. She was entranced by how close his words had fallen, almost gracing the skin of her ear.
She could hear the chaotic jackhammering of her heart against her ribcage.
"I..." She was shunned into silence because she didn't know what to say to him.
She wanted it but she was scared and excited at the same time.
"Everything of you drives me crazy, Innessa." His gruff voice has heightened, robbing her of her breath.
"You're tormenting me. And the best part is you didn't even intend to," He slurred as his lips were like feathery caresses on her temple. His stubble stroked her skin.
"I...Issac," She whispered and he grunted.
His free hand grabbed a fist full of her hair as he jerked her head back firmly. Her ice-blue orbs clashed with his intense hues swarming with unadulterated desire and hunger brewing in them.
"Can I?" His thick voice sent shudders of excitement and fear down her spine.
She closed her eyes shut. Her affirmation. He tugged her hair causing her to gasp as her eyes flew open.
"Words, Innessa. I won't be stopping this time. I need more. I need you. The whole of you. I want to devour you. I want to kiss every inch of your skin, leaving marks on your unblemished skin. I want to corrupt you in ways you're unaware of," He gritted. His voice restrained in control.
She blinked at him with her rounded eyes. Her sparse breathing had stopped as she heard the lub-dub of her heart in her ears.
"Let me make love to you, precious. Let me f*ck you." His raspy breath tickled the soft flesh of her neck.
His lips lingered over the shell of her ear. Her breath hitched at those unfiltered words as blood rushed to her cheeks.
"I want to be buried deep inside you, Innessa," He grunted lowly.
Her eyes rounded even more as she forgot to blink. His words shuddered her heart.
She clenched her thighs feeling wet as she swallowed thickly.
"Do you want this?" He rasped. His arm around her waist tightened.
She kept mum which made him inch back to look into her eyes searching for an answer. He needed her words. Because he knew this time he won't be able to stop himself.
"Say it, Innessa," He commanded and she gulped timidly feeling intimidated.
With a wildly beating heart, she lowered her gaze. "I...I... want this," She murmured and he grunted in satisfaction before taking her lips in a savage kiss full of raw desire and need.
He left her breathless and trembling as he took a breather.
He let go of her waist as she stood on her feet. He slowly walked her back. Her hands rested on his chest as he kept her locked in his eyes.
She gasped in surprise falling back on the bed when the back of her legs hit the bed. Her hair was a beautiful mess because of his hold earlier.
Standing there on the foot of the bed he slowly undid the buttons of his shirt one by one. His intense gaze fixed on her. She gulped scooting back on the bed as she regarded him with timid eyes. Though they've made out intensely a couple of times. But they hadn't done the deed yet so she was nervous.
She dropped her gaze when he removed the shirt and tossed it away.
"Eyes up here, Innessa. You must see what's yours." He husked as her eyes flew up. Slowly diving from his face to his chest and then to his abs. His tattoos were on full display. Issac was built like a perfectly sculpted Greek God. He was the perfect example of captivating masculinity.
Her eyes lowered down to his pants and she gulped seeing the huge bulge there. Flustered, she flitted her gaze away. Though she had seen it before. She couldn't help but get flustered at the moment.
He smirked lightly before getting on the bed as he hovered over her. His proximity forced her to lie back down on the bed. Her hands clasped together on her heavily heaving chest.
His hand settled on her waist as she inhaled sharply. His hold was firm and dominant. He gently kissed her forehead and then her temple. Both of her eyes. Her cheeks, the tip of her nose, her chin, and finally a soft peck on her plump lips.
His kisses became hungry as he gave open-mouthed kisses on her neck and shoulder causing her body to shiver under him and she suppressed her mewl.
"It feels like a dream," He mumbled looking intensely into her eyes as she slowly cupped his cheeks and pulled him closer before claiming his lips.
He grunted and devoured her.
"I love you," He rasped.
"I love you more," She moaned.
The ghastly gray clouds were on their way to veil the dark inky sky when the aggressive wind swept them away as the clouds controlled their unshed tears with a big fluffy pout on the bay. The moon smirked and the stars giggled as they witnessed the love unfurl. The twinkling was at its glorious peak.
The younger members of the wind gaped with a blush as the older members of the breeze shooed them away.
The ocean hummed in a rhythmic trance as the boats of love sailed away to the future that beholds love or sorrow. No one was aware.
That night they became one.
Body.
Soul.
And heart.
Her brows furrowed, and she glitched for a second. "Excuse me?" She said curtly."Excused." He said calmly, quietly eating his steak as if nothing had happened. Her lips parted at his audacity, and she glared at him."You're good at what precisely? And what's the provoking part?" She asked, her eyes narrowed and food long forgotten.Victor finally raised his eyes to meet her gaze. You just tasted the meat and made that sound, so you know what I'm good at, and I'm not bothering to answer the other question." He said plainly and began to eat his food again. She glared at him. But the delicious smell of the food didn't let her stay annoyed for long, as she grabbed her knife and fork and began eating the food. It was mind-blowing; she had never had such a tasty steak before. It was so delicious that she finished the whole plate and still eyed more meat.Victor was silently observing her. He didn't say much and ate his food. Once he was done, he waited for her to finish, and as she rested
The sunrays of early morning were a cruel intrusion as they cut through the drapes of Victor's room. She groggily opened her eyes, breathing lightly. She moved a little, her eyes darting to the other side of the bed, which was empty, cold, and untouched. The mere reality that he didn't sleep with her on the same bed brought immense peace to her soul. She couldn't hear a single noise in the whole room except for her breathing. She cautiously tried to sit up and was successful in doing so, but a wince escaped her lips when a sharp pain shot from her ribs to her torso.Inhaling deeply, she got to her feet and ambled into the bathroom. She freshened up, took a warm, relaxing shower, pampered herself, and then wore a bathrobe as she stepped out. There was a knock on the door, and then it slowly opened to reveal two maids."We are here to change your bandages, madame. After that, we'll bring you your breakfast. What would you like to have for breakfast?""Whatever you guys make the best," S
The morning light did not bring warmth to the Volkov estate; it filtered through the heavy, charcoal curtains of Victor’s master suite in cold, grey shards.Serena lay perfectly still, her eyes fixed on the ornate crown molding of the ceiling. She had glanced around the room, and Victor was nowhere in sight, which brought her a fraction of peace.Every breath was a calculated risk. The bandage around her torso felt like a restrictive serpent, reminding her with every heartbeat that her ribs were held together by little more than gauze and sheer willpower. She was wearing his shirt, the silk was cool and far too large, smelling of the sandalwood and expensive tobacco that defined him. She wasn't okay with the fact that he was the one who changed her clothes. He saw her naked, vulnerable, and covered in bruises. The thought alone made chills run up her spine. This act of his clearly indicated that he has no respect for women at all. And no decency in his bones. Then again, what else co
The silence of the Volkov estate was shattered by the screech of tires against gravel as Alexei brought the armored SUV to a violent halt. Victor didn’t wait for the door to be opened. He lunged out of the vehicle, Serena’s limp body cradled against his chest like a broken porcelain doll. Her head lolled against his shoulder, her skin so pale it was almost translucent under the harsh security lights. Every second she remained unconscious, a cold, unfamiliar dread tightened its grip on Victor’s throat. He didn’t take her to the guest wing. He didn't take her to the room he had assigned her earlier. He bypassed his guards, his boots thundering against the marble stairs, and kicked open the double doors to his own master suite. He laid her down in the center of his massive, charcoal-sheeted bed. She looked tiny there, a splash of white silk and dark hair against the masculine shadows of his world. The doctor, a sharp-eyed woman named Dr. Arisov who had served the Volkov family for decades
The drive to the Volkov estate was not a journey; it was a slow crawl through a torture of silence and steel. The interior of the armored SUV felt like a pressurized chamber. The air was thick, heavy with the scent of Victor’s expensive cologne and the metallic tang of hidden weapons. Serena sat as far from him as the leather seat would allow, her forehead pressed against the cool glass of the window. Every breath was a battle. The kick to her ribs had left a jagged, throbbing heat in her side that flared with every vibration of the car.Unable to take the suffocating stillness, she fumbled with the controls, rolling the window down just enough to let a slip of the freezing night air cut through the cabin. She gasped, her lungs greedily drinking in the wind. Her hair, once perfectly pinned, began to unravel, dark strands whipping across her pale face like silk ribbons. She wasn't thinking about the man sitting inches away from her. She wasn't thinking about the "Vows" she had just exc
The silence that followed Serena’s "No" was not merely a lack of sound; it was a physical weight, a crushing atmosphere that seemed to suck the oxygen from the vast, industrial hall. It was the sound of an empire cracking, the sound of a death warrant being signed in the space of a single breath. The priest’s face went from pale to a sickly, translucent grey. A bead of sweat broke from his hairline and traced a slow, agonizing path down his temple, vanishing into the collar of his vestments. He swallowed, the sound loud in the vacuum of the room, a wet, clicking thud. Behind him, the armed guards on both sides shifted, the subtle rustle of fabric and the metallic clink of holsters acting as the only heartbeat in the room.Victor Volkov did not move. He did not flinch. He remained as still as a statue carved from the very obsidian he seemed to embody. His blue eyes, usually like frozen lakes, turned into something darker, deeper, a glacial abyss. He looked down at Serena, his expressio
