“How’s the hunt?” Amanda asked as soon as the two men entered the pack mansion.
She carried several thick books which Liam quickly helped her. The two large men were covered in mud and sweat. Liam even had some dried leaves in his hair indicating it was more than just hunting animals.
“Eventful,” Cohen replied before he groaned in pain.
It wasn’t the pain from his friendly match with Liam. He massaged his temples as his head throbbed with the same pain once more. Cohen drew out a bottle of pills from his pocket and swallowed two of the white pills. At least the pain would subside for a few hours. Enough to give him time to think clearer.
