Artemis Thaleia's POV

"Mallory, can't we stop them?" Rivalee's voice sounded concerned as I walked into her asking Mallory that the next day.

"We can't do that," Mallory said with a faint of unknown emotion in her eyes. It could be that she's trying to calm Rivalee from whatever it is that's scaring her.

Mallory forced a smile as she saw me.

Gone was the cheerful Rivalee as she bore her eyes on me, unlike before it's blazing with anger now. Rivalee stood up and walked out.

"What's with her?" I asked in a monotone.

"Sin gave Thayer a joker card," Mallory started.

"And what is that for?" I asked again.

"Joker card is Sin's way of telling someone that they're on for a fight with him. For those who receive that card, it's a fight for their lives but for him it's just a simple game, to have a fun time." Liri Blair's voice echoed from behind me.

I looked at her. She gracefully strides her way towards us, wearing her denim shorts.

"Hold up! Does that mean Sin will kill Thayer?" I asked
